Diametric Stiffness Test![]() Diametric stiffness test : the test shall be carried out on a pipe section of 500 mm length cut from pipe barrel. the pipe section shall be placed on a support having a v-shape and angle of 170 to 180 deg. The load shall be applied at the pipe crown through a loading beam of appx 50 mm wide and 600 mm long. The load shall be increased steadily until it reaches a test load corrosponding to the minimum diametrical stiffness and kept constant for 1 min. Now the vertical deflection of pipe section is measured, recorded and the calculated ovalization shall be measured and compared with allowable value. The load shall then be increased untill the vertical deflection reaches twice the value previously measured. The load shall be kept constant for 1 min in this condition and this force shall be recorded.External Seal & Shear Test![]() a leak tightness of flexible joints to positive external pressure : this equipment is mainly designed to meet the requirement of type test of d i pipe ( external shear test ). we can design, manufacture and supply the equipment for different pipe size ranging from dn-100 to dn-1600. the test equipment has been designed to meet the requirement specified in iso 2531 : 2009 (e ). this type of test assembly, which applies only to push-in flexible joints, shall comprise two joints made with two pipe sockets connected together and one double-spigot piece so as to create an annulur chamber allowing to test one joint under internal pressure and one joint under external pressure. the test assembly shall be subjected to shear load defined in standards, one half of this load shall be applied to the spigot end on each side of the test assembly, by means of a v-shaped block with an angle of 120 deg located at a defined distance with a socket on flat support. the test assembly then shall be filled with water and suitably vented of air. The pressure shall be steadily increased until it reaches the test pressure and then kept constant within +/- 0. 1 bar for atleast 2 hours, during which the internal side of the joint subjected to external pressure INTERNAL STATIC & CYCLIC PRESSURE TEST![]() a leak tightness of flexible joints to internal pressure : this equipment is mainly designed to meet the requirement of type test of d i pipe. positive static pressure test positive cyclic pressure test negative ( vaccum ) pressure test. we design, manufacture and supply the equipment for different pipe size ranging from dn-100 to dn-1600. the test equipment has been designed to meet the requirement specified in iso 2531 : 2009 (e ). Longitudinal Bending Test![]() Longitudinal bending test : the pipe is rested on two v-shaped supports and the load shall be applied at mid span by means of a v-shaped block. in the first part of test, the load shall be increased steadily until the pipe is subjected to the service bending moment and will be kept constant for 10 min. The load then shall be released and the pipe is visually inspected.in the second part of the test, the load shall be increased steadily until the pipe is subjected to the proof bending moment. The rate of loading will be regulated within 2 kn/sec and the proof load shall be applied for 1 min duration. Positive Internal Dynamic Pressure Testing![]() the type test shall be carried out on an assembled joint comprising of two pipe sections. the test apparatus shall be capable of providing suitable end restraints, whether the joint is in the aligned position, or deflected, subjected to a shear load. the shear load shall be applied to the spigot by means of a v-shaped block with an angle of 120 deg, located at a specified distance from the socket face with a socket on a flat support. the test assembly shall be filled with water and suitably vented of air. the pressure shall be steadily increased upto pma, the allowable maximum operating pressure of the joint, and then automatically monitored according to the following pressure cycle. the steady pressure reduction to (pma-5 ) bar maintain ( pma-5 ) bar for atleast 5 sec steady pressure increase to pma maintain pma for atleast 5 seconds. the no of cycles shall be recorded and the test will be stopped automatically in the event of failure of the joint. the rate of pressure rise shall be regulated within 1 bar/sec maximum. negative ( vaccum ) internal static pressure testing : the type test shall be carried out on an assembled joint comprising of two pipe sections. the test apparatus shall be capable of providing suitable end restraints, whether the joint is in the aligned position, or deflected, subjected to a shear load. the shear load shall be applied to the spigot by means of a v-shaped block with an angle of 120 deg, located at a specified distance from the socket face with a socket on a flat support. the test assembly shall be empty of water and suitably evactuated to a negative internal pressure of 0. 9 bar and then isolated from a vaccum pump. The test assembly shall be left under vaccum for atleast 2 hours during which the pressure shall not have changed by more than 0. 09 bar. The temperature shall be within 5 to 40 deg c.
the temp shall not vary by more than 10 deg c for the duration of test Positive Internal Static Pressure Testing![]() the type test shall be carried out on an assembled joint comprising of two pipe sections. the test apparatus shall be capable of providing suitable end restraints, whether the joint is in the aligned position, or deflected, subjected to a shear load. the shear load shall be applied to the spigot by means of a v-shaped block with an angle of 120 deg, located at a specified distance from the socket face with a socket on a flat support. the test assembly shall be filled with water and suitably vented of air. The pressure shall be raised steadily until it reaches the test pressure. The rate of pressure rise shall be regulated within 1 bar/sec maximum. The test pressure is kept constant within +/- 0. 5 bar for atleast 2 hours |
