PURIC Basket filters are the low cost answer to a variety of liquid clarification needs. The basic filter is floor-mounted, in-line pressure vessel consisting of a tubular housing in which the filter media is supported by a 316 stainless steel basket.

Filter & flow rates

Single filters are offered in separate models with flow rate upto 250 gpm. DUO filters consist of two single filter units connected in parallel to 3-way valves. DUO filters are usually rated for the same flow as single filters. That's because in most applications one filter unit is valved offstream while the other continuous filtering.

This range of Abhishek's Basket Strainers is specially designed to meet customer requirements which may include high pressure application or where non-standard materials of construction are required. As Designed and sized, these are available in 1" to 40" connection, socket weld, threaded or ANSI 150# to 2500# flange designed and fabricated to ASME VIII Div.1.

Abhishek filter's Catalyst Filters consist of number of tubular S.S. candles inside a pressure vessel similar to Pressure Leaf  Filters. Each SS micromesh candle is covered with suitable high pressure filter cloth which snuggly fits around the curved surface during filtration.

During the catalyst recovery cycle filter cloth is lifted from the curved surface and this movement causes the catalyst cake to release from the filter cloth.

Due to typical cylindrical filter element design, very large filtration area per volume is achieved. Thorough easy back washing is achieved due to effective manifold design.

Abhishek's Temporary Strainers i.e. Conical Strainers are  designed for high efficiency flow. Size available from ½"  to 40" in various metals.

Removal of hardness from water is called softening. The softening is done by ion exchange process. The ion exchange process works on the replacement of the calcium and magnesium ions in the water by an equivalent number of sodium ions.

This eliminates the unwanted charasteristic of hard water because the sodium salt neither form scale nor a scum with soap but only lather.The resin will take up the calcium ion to the extent of what sodium ions resin will have with it.

Therefore, to give new sodium ions to the resins, the cheapest and the easiest mean would be to pass the solution of sodium-chloride (common-salt) through the resin.

PURIC systems use the basic ion exchange principle. With this principle, ions in solution, including metallic cations such as calcium (Ca ++) and anions such as chloride (Cl -) are exchanged for other ions such as hydrogen ie. (H +) and hydrdxyl (OH-) that are contained inside synthetic ion exchange resins. By passing the solution through columns of cation and anion exchange resin, all the ions can be exchanged, leaving only hydrogen and hydroxyl, which combine, leaving pure water. Alternatively, by suitable choice of ion exchange resin, only a portion of the ions can be selectively removed.

When their exchange capacity has been exhausted,ion exchange resins can be regenerated.

Today, although the use of ion exchange for water deioniser is wide spread, its potential in other application such as chemical processing, material recovery and pollution abatement remains virtually untapped. On request write-ups on the above matter can be submitted.

The water free from all minerals is called deionised water.

Regular water has various salts in dilute form which are called dissolved solids. Demineralised water is obtained after passing the raw water through DM Plant.

The same resin can be used over and over again to produce soft water a - periodic dossage of sodium chloride (common-salt) solution. So, recurring cost in such process is only the cost of common salt.

This model has found increasing acceptance in jewellery manufacturers. This unit comprises of 10 watt P.P. magnetically coupled pump. The moulded/micro filter candle alongwith P.P. felt bag provides 100% filtering efficiency assembled in a transparent Polycarbonate filter body. PURIC filter pump system is available to suit all types of plating chemicals and to remove micronic impurities and organic impurities from laboratory scale to large scale production.

This small filter unit is operated by a magnetic driven P.P. pump coupled to 20 watt motor. This filter unit comprises of PP moulded filter body to hold 9 ³/₄" p.p. microwound filter cartridge. Filtration rate is 600 to 1000 LPH.

This versatile model has been widely accepted in the Indian plating industry for the past many years.

A heavy duty P.P. magnetic coupled pump is assembled with the robust filter stack comprising of 20 nos filtering elements of 12" dia. The whole stack is housed within a cylindrical P.V.C. lined steel chamber. This system is mounted on a M. S. tubular trolley frame which is well balanced on castors for free movements.

Exhaust system with hood & chimney: Fume extraction unit as per custom built requirement manufactured from M. S. suitably lined by PVC, PP, FRP or epoxy painted. The entire system consist of suction hood, ductings, exhaust fan, spray type scrubber, centrifugal pump and chimney,etc.

Introduction
PURIC have been designing and fabricating various chemical equipments for the last several years.

FRP tanks and reaction vessels
Manufactured cylindrical vertical tank/horizontal tanks with flat and dish ends as per required process conditions and generally square and rectangular tanks are preferred for the bulk storage of corossive liquid. As per the floor area provided size and shape of the tanks are designed.

Air handling & pollution control system
The Puric exhaust system has been designed to meet the critical requirement of the chemical process plant. The system comprises of fume scrubber, ductings, hoods, blowers, and chimney. The entire system is designed out of either FRP or PVC-FRP, PP-FRP or PVDF-FRP etc.

7-ply, circular leaf designed for the brewing industry. Features heavy-duty drainage member, perforated plate, 16-mesh intermediate members with a 24 x 128 surface screen (60 microns nom.)that is laser-welded to the bar frame.

Lightweight yet strong titanium leaf designed for corrosive applications features a keyhole frame, expanded metal screens for drainage and Polypropylene netting attached to the screen prior to the bag being fitted.

Abhishek filter's Unique Design  Horizontal Pressure Leaf Filters (shell retraction or bundle retraction ) features horizontal pressure vessel, S.S filter leaves, Compact pneumatic vibrator system, base structure housing, hydraulic power pack for bonnet ring opening/closing and shell or bundle retraction. Filter leaves are mounted on heavy duty outlet manifold with Sealing. Filtration areas from 1m² to 220m². Dry or wet cake discharge is possible.

Material of construction : Stainless steel, Carbon steel with rubber, PP, PVDF lining, Monel, inconel, etc. sealing are available in BUNA-N, Viton, EPDM, Nitrile, Silicon etc.

Features :

PURIC Bag Filters Unit manufactured from Needle non-woven synthetic fabric or needle woven multifilament synthetic felt fabric which are made into standard shape / size bags.   These are fitted by top seal arrangement for sealing location, into a suitable vessel. In view of the potential high differential pressure which can develop across the bag,in normal practice to provide the housing with a support basket manufactured from perforated or woven mesh to retain the bag in the operation and to protect against bag burst.   Flow of contaminated liquid is from inside to outside of the bag. Filtration in bag filter is pre-dominantly surface filtration with a degree of partial depth filtration with felted media. All these contaminants are collected in the bag, simplifying disposable of bag and contaminant change out in allowing incineration.   Features :  

For high quality “Micronic” Filtration the use of the multi-media filter is recommended. Filtration performance can be designed for better output through different media combination.   Systems are available in various Steel Construction.

Abhishek Filters Single or Multi micro bag polishing filters are basically used for final  filtration. The baskets are housed in Vessel with proper sitting type arrangements. Filter micro bags used are PP, PPS, Polyster Polyamide or special material depending on Filtrate  conditions.

The Basic Filter is flour mounted, inline pressure vessel consisting of a tubular housing in which the filter bag is supported by 304 strainer steel basket.  

For general water filtration purpose. The PURIC Pressure Quartz Filter is a new development in filtration technology. It is a PURIC flow filter technology using very fine different Mesh Quartz filter media.   System is designed with the multi- branches spraying nozzle for uniform flow and Multiple engineering plastics heavy duty strainers which are fixed at the bottom tube plate for smooth underdrain system.   Raw water flows downwards through the filter bed and turbidity & suspended matter is retained on the quartz surface. Filter water is evenly collected by an under drain system in the bottom of the vessel & flow through the outlet to service. At normal flow rate a clean filter bed presents little resistance to the passage of water but as the suspended matter is removed from the water, steady rise in the loss of head occurs across the quartz bed. Cleaning of filter bed is affected by passing a reverse upward flow of water through the filter for approximately 5 minutes with the help of frontal piping arrangements.

The Vacuum Drum Filters has a broad field of application, amongst others in ore refining, hydrometallurgy, metallurgic, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, food processing and waste water treatment.

A rotary drum vacuum filters (RDVF) is a continuous filter wherein the solid constituent in a pulp or slurry is separated by a porous filter cloth or other media rotated through the pulp or slurry, with vacuum applied to the inner surface to cause the solids to accumulate on the surface as a cake or layer through which the liquid is drawn.

How it works :

The process cycle of the RDVF is continuous. Each revolution consists of cake formation, cake washing (if required), drying and cake discharge.

As the drum rotates - partially submerged in the slurry - vacuum draws the liquid through the filter medium (cloth) on the drum surface which retains the solids. The vacuum pulls air (or gas) through the cake and continues to remove liquid as the drum rotates. If required, the cake can be washed prior to final drying...and discharge.

Abhishek's Roto Brush Basket Filters is designed with Micromesh metallic element having a typical spiral brush fitted inside. By the help of external brush handle the basket element is cleaned from inside by single rotation. During this rotation the contaminants from inside the basket gets scraped and blown down.

Abhishek's Self Cleaning Filters works on the principle of scraper rotation. The motorised scraper is designed suitably to brush down the contaminants from the inside surface of the screen. Filters roto-klean   PURIC - all metal filter - Fin type metal cartridge is cleanable without stopping flow by one complete rotation of the handle. Solid particles get deposited into the sump. This can be removed periodically by opening the drain plug.   Features :

PURIC Sparkler type horizontal plate filters stack consists of multiple number of circular filter plates. Filter cloth or any other filter media is placed over each plate. The slurry / mother liquor is pumped over the plates through the specially designed manifold. Filtration process is continued till the desired cut off pressure limit is achieved. Then, the cake is manually removed from each of the filter plate cavity.   This type of filtration is good for batch operation i.e. in Fine Chemical, Pharma and Food industries Models available on request are :  

Molten sulphur filtration poses special demands upon filtration equipment since filtration takes place at elevated temperature and corrosion of the vessel and internals may occur unless the Ph is continuously monitored.

The sulphur viscosity is not a linear function with respect to temperature changes so that the operating temperature must be kept within certain boundaries if relatively constant filter rates are expected. All vessels, tanks, pits or piping must also be steam jacketed, in order to control above mentioned operating conditions.

Due to excessive strain placed upon the filter leaves in terms of operating temperature (between 120 and 150°C), Special Filter Leaves of heavy duty  design Filter Leaves are Produced by  Abhishek Filters.

For many years chemical disinfection techniques (chlorination etc.) have been used to provide microbiologically Pure water for industrial and domestic use.   PURIC ultraviolet treatment is a far better way of destroying micro-organisms. Unlike other methods it does not affect taste, PH, Odour as it disinfects.   Water is disinfected by exposing it to ultraviolet rays of 254 Nanometers. This ultraviolet light destroys all microorganisms it contacts.   This is exclusively an Electronic Device using the principal This is exclusively an Electronic Device using the principal water borne micro-organisms (Bacteria, Virus etc.) with high efficiency & reliability for high purity water confirming to WHO / USEPA / APHA.   This method of purification is highly economical as compared to boiling or chlorination / dechlorination of water. Abhishek filter's offers all kind of Vertical Pressure Leaf Filters for filtration of liquids & Specially Edible Oil with suspended solid contents upto 7%. Due to its Special Design, filter cloth incorporation has been discontinued. Automatic dislodging of filtered cake by pneumatic vibrator or oscillating sluice header. Dry or wet cake discharge is possible. Filtration area upto 120m².

Applications :

All our rectifiers are custom built of different voltages (DC). That is 0-16 V (DC) upto 120 V (DC). The current range is from 50 A (DC) to anything upto 5000 A (DC).

Due to corrosive atmosphere prevailing in most of the plating and Anodising shops, our oil-cooled type rectifier model is recommended.
