Model AB-101T is designed to have all parameters of two winding of any transformer in a single go.This is particularly used to have full transformer data is available on PC.Micro-Controller based meter,that provides all parameters that are selected to be available on PC with two winding jig.It normally gives L,R & Q but other parameters can be selected.. With basic accuracy of 0.2 %.it offers various test frequencies . Four wire measurement minimizes error in reading. RS232 Communication and Binning facilty upto 8 bins possible. Model AB-101H is an economically priced LCR meter. It is Micro-processor based with basic accuracy of 0.25%.It offers various test frequencies ,can display Q ,has internal Bias for electrolytic capacitors. LCand R are two selectable functions with auto-ranging facility .Four wire measurement minimizes error in reading. Range locking facility provides fast measurements at production centers. SER and PAR modes are available.
Coil turns Tester model AB-301 is used to measure the number of turns of a coil immediately after it is wound. It consists of readout unit and selected platform. Same readout unit can be used with different type of platforms.
Quick and easy to operate it provides an instant readout of turns, and performance is not affected by a normal workshop environment.
In operation the setting/calibration is made against a standard coil.
The coil under test is placed on the appropriate platform and the ends of the coil are connected to the pair of terminals. The number of turns of a test coil is indicated on the digital readout immediately after making the connection.
The coil turns tester that has no moving parts may be used in conjunction with any of the plug-in platform described in the leaflet.
The platforms type 301-1 and 301-2 cover the most commonly found sizes of wound bobbins or self-supporting coils.
Simple to use, the bobbin is placed over the probe and the termination leads, connected to the platform.
The number of turns on the bobbin is then instantly on the readout unit.
Shorted Turns Tester model AB-401 indicates interturn short in the windings. If a coil containing a shorted turn is placed over other one of the probes, the bridge will become unbalanced and cause the meter needle to deflect into red zone of the scale.
Gauge selector is provided for large, medium, fine wires. As very less voltage is present it is very safe to operator.
Also as there is no connection is to be done ,operation is very fast & makes it suitable for checking large production batches.
The instrument has an extremely sensitive balanced AC inductance bridge. Coils within the instrument thus creating a field around the probes energize the probes over which the coil is to be tested is placed. Initial Balance is achieved by nulling the meter with the controls marked P1 and P2.These controls are the in-phase and quadrature balance controls for the bridge. After balancing it is ready to use.
