Brandname 'Purab' Announced [06-FEB-10]
Advait Energy announced that its solar products will be branded under the name 'Purab'. Purab literally means 'East' in Hindi and symbolises the direction of sunrise. Designed to meet the needs of customers in small cities, towns and villages, the Purab product range will include the Solarbatti (a multipurpose solar light which is the first product to be launched), solar fans, solar home lighting systems, solar inverter battery chargers and many more.

Operations Launched In Uttar Pradesh [14-FEB-10]
Advait Energy commenced operations in Uttar Pradesh by launching its first product, a high intensity rechargeable solar light that has been named the 'Solarbatti'. As part of the launch, an awareness camp was organised to promote the concept of solar power in a village that has a scarce supply of electricity in the north-eastern region of Uttar Pradesh, and to explain the benefits of using the Solarbatti. An educational puppet show that was organised within this camp attracted hundreds of villagers. A number of roadshows were also organised in various villages of the region, and a very positive response was received from the large crowds that could not resist the urge to stop by and address their curiousity.
