Agarwal group is one of the leading players in production of edible oil, sponge iron and telecommunication as well as transmission towers. The group also has a presence in securities as well as physical trading across countries. Under the chairman ship of Anirudh Pershad Agarwal, the group has successfully diversified into various industrial sectors.

Agarwal sponge and energy pvt ltd(ASEPL), a part of the group, was set up in 2004 and has its manufacturing unit in Bellary (Kudithini village of Karnataka). It has a capacity of 350 TPD (spread across 3 kilns). Manufacturing is done using the latest coal based Direct Reduction Iron method for the production of sponge iron by using non-coking coal along with iron ore as well as some amount of dolomite to produce sponge iron.

ASEPL has consistently tapped new opportunities by improving its productivity by using the best quality raw materials. The firm has already increased the production capacity of sponge iron and further plans the integration in order to produce finished steel and power.
