A system made by AGUAPURO may have a higher price than that of a competitor, but the true cost of owning a system must take into account with the life expectancy of the entire system and its key components, the frequency of repairs, the cost of repairs and downtime, the cost of labor, and the energy consumption of the system, the Consumables required and Spares to be maintained. When these factors are honestly considered, AGUAPURO systems consistently cost far less to own than others. These features are normally quoted on equipment recommended by AGUAPURO. When pricing objections are faced, AGUAPURO may delete some or all of these special features to meet a customer’s budget. However, we urge each customer to make informed choices on these features, as each one adds to the system price, but significantly reduces the true overall cost.

Better filtrate quality at higher flow rates and lower cost The AGUAPURO Multigrade Filter is a depth filter that makes use of coarse and fine media mixed together in a fixed proportion. This arrangement produces a filter bed with adequate pore dimensions for retaining both large and small suspended particles. This filter performs at a substantially higher specific flow rate than conventional filters. Specific flow rates of 15 – 30 m/h have been successfully obtained for treating waters containing 50 - 25 ppm suspended solids respectively to produce a filtrate with less than 5 ppm.

Applications

The AGUAPURO Multigrade Filter is an ideal choice for all applications where a conventional sand filter is used. It is extensively used in side stream filtration of cooling water and in potable water treatment. It is ideal for filtration of clarified water. In addition it finds application in sea water filtration and in filtration of chemical solutions. For these types of filtration, rubber lined or epoxy painted filters can be offered.

Specifications

One vertical cylindrical mild steel pressure vessel with dished ends, painted internally with anti-corrosive bitumastic paint and externally with a protective coat of red oxide primer.

 

- One set of internal water distribution and collection system.

- One initial charge of filter sand and underbed material.

- One set of frontal pipework and valves.

- Two pressure gauges to monitor head loss across the filter.

- One orifice board (optional) for indication wash water flow to be fitted in drain sump.

- Maximum/minimum operating pressure will be 3.5 kg/cm2g and 2.0 kg/cm2g respectively.
