Ammonia Crackers produces Cracked Ammonia(NH3) Gas using Anhydrous ammonia from cylinders. Cracked ammonia contains 75% Hydrogen and 25% Nitrogen and the product gas is very dry & oxygen free.
In heat treatment furnaces, this gas has wide use as reducing atmosphere. Where ever pure hydrogen is needed, Cracked Ammonia Gas serves as a very cost-effective substitute. The dissociation of Ammonia Gas takes place in the presence of a Nickel Catalyst at temperature of 850 Deg C. to 900 Deg. C. in an electrically heated or fuel fired automatic Furnace. Nickel Catalyst promotes the following chemical reaction:
2NH3 = N2 + 3H2
The cracked gas production amounts to 2.63 NM3 per Kg of ammonia feed stock, with residual ammonia contents less than 20 ppm and dew points up to ( - ) 50 Deg. C. Main application of cracked ammonia gas is in heat treatments, i.e. Sintering, Brazing, Bright Annealing etc. as protective gas
Certain applications specify the need of gas having extremely low residual ammonia contents and very low gas dew point. Such high quality of clean and dry protective gas can be achieved by employing a Molecular Sieve Purifier after the ammonia cracker. After the purifier, the residual ammonia contents fall below 3 ppm and dew point of gas improves up to (-) 80 Deg. C.
Capacity offered :
From 1 Nm3/hr to 500 Nm3/hr
Moisture content (Dew-Point) :
- Minus 50 Deg. C Normal - up to minus 80 Deg. C can be achieved with additional purifier
A) Raw ammonia content :
20-25 ppm normal less then 3 ppm with additional purifier
Our Oxygen Generators operates on Pressure Swing Adsorption, commonly known as P S A Technology. P S A Technology is based on the selective adsorption phenomena of gas molecules under pressure on the surface of highly porous and efficient adsorbent, In this case of Oxygen Generation the Adsorbent is zeolite based Molecular Sieve (Z.M.S.)
In P S A System when compressed air is passed through a adsorption tower field with Z.M.S. the molecules of oxygen, moisture & other unwanted gases are adsorbed on surface of Z.M.S. and Oxygen which is not adsorbed by Z.M.S. comes out of adsorption tower and is collected in a surge vessel. For continuous generation of oxygen two Adsorption towers are provided which are interconnected with Auto-change over valves controlled by PLC in the control panel. After saturation of one tower with nitrogen the process automatically changes over to another tower and thus the oxygen production is continuous.
Our systems are the best ones in industry to ensure the highest efficiency, user-friendly design, Reliable Economical and Durable. Our on-site oxygen generators are custom made and can be adjusted to give the desired oxygen quality for your process and application.
Safety Features and Audio Visual Alarms:
The Oxygen Gas Generator are Skid Mounted and Pre-commissioned at our works. Are fully Automatic and requires virtually no attention of the Operator. Once started it can be left-unattended. All operations take place automatically and Oxygen Purity remains very consistent. In case of any abnormality the gas Generator would trip automatically with Audio Visual Alarms for Necessary action.
In case of Storage Tank Getting Filled The Gas Generator Goes to Sleep and restarts Once the pressure in storage Tank is Reduces to set Limit.
Audio Visual alarms in our Standard System:
Air Compressor Trip
Low Feed Air Pressure
High Air Inlet Pressure
Low Surge Tank Pressure
Low & Very Low Oxygen Content - 2 Set Limits
High Moisture Content (Optional)
High Storage Tank Pressure
