This microtome is a highly versatile sectioning device suitbale for Medical Insitutions, Research & Pathological Laboratories. This microtome has special application for cutting thin sections of histopathological specimens and also caters to the demands of industries such as Plastic, Leather, Textiles, Rubber & Fertilizer. The Microtome is driven by a handle which can also be locked. Cutting sections are obtained in different thickness by mechanically operated crank through a knurled knob in front of the instrument. The knurled knob is graduated in microns for feed setting and ready reference. A detent click action ensures positive adjustments in one micron increment. All parts are fabricated from selected alloys and the Microtome knife is manufactured from the fine grain steel tested to maintain optimum sharpness strength

Sliding Microtome is a standard sectioning instrument especially designed for Research Laboratories for cutting sections of paraffin as well as celloiden embedded specimens. Its knife holder rigidly supports a 120mm knife made from imported fine grain hard tool steel, which ensures accurate sectioning not only for soft tissues but also harder materials such as stem, root and other objects. Sliding Microtome is recommended for the labs where sections of fairly large specimen are required.
