Ajeet Seeds participated and shared its role by producing and supplying quality hybrid seeds to the framers at affordable cost. Ajeet-11, the cotton hybrid introduced in 1992 are known for seed quality, tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Ajeet-11 is followed by Ajeet-33 with distinguishing differences and attributes. Continued research had resulted in many hybrids in Jowar, Bajra, Maize, Sunflower, Vegetables and hybrid Bhendi Ajeet-311 was launched in 2002. It was followed by hybrid Chilies, Brinjal, Tomato, Bottle Gourd, Bitter Gourd etc. Ajeet Seed is the first private seed company to introduce proprietory variety of Wheat Ajeet-102. The progress is continued and spontaneous. As a result the product profile of the company covers 22 crops and their 55 different hybrids varieties. With the clear understanding the pivotal role of Bio-technology in seed industry, a separate research division, Plant Biotechnology Research Centre (PBRC) had been established in 2003 at Hanumantgaon, Taluka Gangapur. This Centre has been recognized as a Research Centre by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. The Company established a “State of Art” laboratory supported by team of expert scientists headed by a Veteran Biotech Expert. The company is trying to develop own / indigenous transgenic technology for the crops which shall accelerate the progress furthermore in the nearest future. Ajeet Seeds, the company with many years of excellence and earnestly dedicated to farm prosperity, is already geared up for genetic research using crop bio-technology for the prosperity of Indian farmers. The Company has developed its own genetic resources of GMS and CMS based hybrid seeds in Cotton, Jowar, Bajra, Maize, Chilli, Okra and Pigeon pea. -
Cotton Hybrid, Ajeet-11 (Irrigated and Rain fed) ranked first for consequently 3 years and Cotton Hybrid, Ajeet-33 (Irrigated) ranked first for consequently 2 years under All India Coordinated Cotton Improvement Project (AICCIP) trials conducted by ICAR, affiliated to Govt. of India, New Delhi. -
Jowar hybrids Ajeet-997 and Ajeet-333 ranked First in the National level testing. -
Ajeet Seeds Ltd. is the first seed company to introduce proprietary variety of Wheat, Ajeet-102. -
The Company have established wide network of 400 distributors, 3000 dealers and more than 30000 seed growers all over India. -
Ajeet Seeds Ltd., have established Tie up with Mahyco-Monsanto Biotech (I) Ltd., Mumbai for Transgenic (Bt.) Cotton Technology in April-2002. -
The Genetic Engineering Approval Committee (GEAC), Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India, has given permission for sales of Bollgard-I (Ajeet 33 & Ajeet 155, Ajeet 177, Ajeet 901 (HxB), ACH 21 (Arya 21 Bt) and Bollgard-II (Ajeet-11, Ajeet 155, Ajeet 33, ACH 177 (Arya 177 BG II, Ajeet 111, ACH 5 (Arya 21 BG II ) cotton hybrids in Central, South and North zones. -
Plant Biotechnology Research Centre (PBRC) has been recognized as a Research Centre by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. -
In recognition of the contributions in Agriculture and social welfare, number of Awards like "Marathwada Kesari" in 2001 "Marathwada Ratna" and "Maharashtra Bhushan" in September, 2002, have been honored on our Chairman Shri. Padmakar Haribhau Mulay and presented by the gracious hands of then Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh. -
The company is ready with indigenous transgenic in Okra & Cotton for resistance to biotic and abiotic stress. Our scientists are ready with indigenous genes for various traits which will be used in near future for introgression in different crops for development of transgenics.
