A Fire Hydrant is an above-ground connection that provides access to a water supply for the purpose of fighting fires. Fire hydrant systems are an installation of pipes, water tanks, pumps, hydrant outlets and / or hose reels.
Hydrant Systems can be of two types:
(a) External Hydrant System, where the hydrants are installed in the open, like the city or town water mains, or hydrant systems installed in the open areas in industrial or such other occupancies and
(b) Internal Hydrant System, installed in buildings or structures to be protected
We design an integrated Hydrant System as per national and international norms. We consider capacity of fire pump, size and arrangement of pipes used for hydrant system, pressure at hydrant point against the available fire risk. Our designed Hydrant System is an arrangement of piping, valves, hose connection and allied equipment installed in building and structure with connection located in such a manner that water can be discharge in stream of spray patterns through attached hose and nozzle for the purpose not only extinguish the fire but at the same time save the occupants and contents of area in with better response time.

In smaller workplaces, portable fire extinguishers will probably be sufficient to tackle small fires. However, in more complex buildings, or where it is necessary to protect the means of escape and/or the property or contents of the building, it may be necessary to consider a Sprinkler System. Sprinkler systems are traditionally acknowledged as an efficient means of protecting buildings against extensive damage from fire. They are also now acknowledged as an effective means of reducing the risk to life from fire. Systems are being developed which may be suitable for use in workplaces with residential areas, such as care homes and houses in multiple occupancy. Sprinkler systems need to be specifically designed and installed to the appropriate hazard category in accordance with an approved code of practice.

Water Spray System is a special fixed pipe system connected to a reliable source of pressurised water supply and equipped with water spray nozzles for application on area / equipment to be protected. The system can be operated automatically by connection to an automatic detection and alarm system or manually, or both.
These systems can be used for any one or more of the under mentioned purposes:
Extinguishment of fire
Control of fire
Exposure protection (cooling)
Prevention of fire (cooling)
The suppression or extinguishment of fire is achieved by cooling, dilution of oxygen supplies (smothering), dilution (or removal) of the liquid fuel (starvation or emulsification).
Water spray systems are generally used for fire protection of flammable liquid and gas storage tanks, piping, pumping equipment, electrical equipment such as transformers, oil switches, rotating electrical machinery etc. and for protection of openings in fire walls and floors.
The type of water spray required will depend on the nature of the hazard and protection required.
Types of water spray systems:
There are two basic types of water spray systems installed as fixed systems. One of these is used to extinguish oil fires and usually referred to as .Water Spray Projector System. The other is mainly used to provide protection to plant, processes, equipment, and to prevent explosions, and is generally known as a .Water Spray Protector System

Cylinder system operates similar to a gas extinguishing system. The cylinder system consists of two different types of cylinders, one type is filled with water at atmospheric pressure and the others with nitrogen pressurised to 200 bar, used as propellant.
The activation of a cylinder system is triggered by one master cylinder. This master cylinder will then activate all further slave cylinders.
In dry pipe deluge systems the activation is triggered by an electric signal from a separate detection system. The cylinder valve is a solenoid operated valve with manual override for safety reasons in case of electric failure. This opens the differential pressure valve to discharge the nitrogen into the slave cylinders.
In a wet pipe system a glass bulb triggers activation. The pressurised pipe system is connected to the cylinder valve on the master cylinder, which is a differential pressure valve. Activation is achieved by breaking a glass bulb located within the body of the nozzle. This causes the release of control pressure in the pressurised pipeline. This opens the differential pressure valve. The master cylinder will then activate different configurations of slave cylinder assemblies.
