HAND DECORTICATOR (Groundnut Decorticators)

Being a simple machine, its working is easy and trouble free. This is suitable for small units with a capacity of 800 lbs of decorticating seed per hour.

Construction & Working:

• This unit employs friction rolling method to break open the shell with minimum breakage of seeds
• The construction is simple. It has a steel frame, adjustable hopper and sieve is of strong section bars to allow adjustments for different sizes of seeds to fall through
• The main shaft has a moving wheel on one side and fly wheel on the other side
• The shaft is supported on ball bearings
• The heavy fly wheel ensures smooth and free movements
• The fan bearing are ordinary or self oiling
• All the parts are made out of selected material and are properly machined to give smooth service

POWER DECORTICATOR (Groundnut Decorticators)

These are easy to handle and require low maintenance costs.

Construction & Working:

• These are available in two sizes, each unit having a strong steel body and is of simple construction
• The hopper is fitted to the upper part of the frame and seed passes through the opening chamber, where the shell is broken and separated from the kernel
• The kernel and the shells fall through the sieve to the slide board, where the fan blower further cleans the kernel before they fall out of the machine

The Stone Separator is provided with power decorticators only. Two pullies are provided, one of beater size 20" x 6" x 2" for fan 6" x 2.5" x 1.25".

Copra Cutters

Our range of Copra Cutters are known to be corrosion and abrasion resistant. Offered at industry leading prices, these are widely used to cut copra into small pieces, before their use entry to the breaking mill or oil expeller for crushing. Besides, it is also used to disintegrate any other material like oil cake, groundnut etc.

Construction and working:

• The cutting of copra is done by a number of beaters

• The beaters are mounted on a shaft supported by two self aligning ball bearings

• The shaft has at one end a flat or "V" pulley. The cut pieces fall through the perforated mild steel plate sieve

• The beaters are case hardened to give long life

• The copra cutter is fabricated out of mild steel angles and plates and is simple in construction and easy to to handle

• The working is very simple and beater replacement requires minimum skill

We manufacture 'ALFA' Filter Presses which are known for their latest designs, sturdy construction and easy operations. Owing to such features, these are extensively used in Chemical Industry, Sugar Factories and Oil Milling Industry to produce superior grade filtered oil. These machines are also facilitated with time saving features and require less space for installation.

These are prepared in two types:

Recessed Type

 

• The plates in this type are recessed, so that when two plates are closed together, a chamber is formed

• Each plate has center feed hole and the faces are cast with pyramid type indentations to increase the filtering area

• Filter cloth is places on each plate and fastened back to the plate with hollow clips

• When the press is closed, the cloth forms a tight joint between the machined edges of the plates

• The liquid is then forced out through the cloth, to the passage in the base of the plate and thence to a trough through big cocks

Flush Plate and Distance Frame Type

• In this type the machined edges are almost at level with the indentation surface

• A separate frame is used between them to form the chamber

• The cloths are not fastened in any way to the plate, but are only hung over the frame and nipped between the edges of the plates and distance frames, when these are closed together

• The filter cloth is thus easily renewed for cleaning

• The thickness of the frame determines the depth chambers

• This type is recommended for filtering oils with the use of filter aids, such as fullers earth, Kieselgurh or activated carbon.

 

Standard Equipment:

• These are supplied with a suitable belt driven on motorized pumps

• Standard equipment also includes the necessary safety valve air vessel, pressure gauge, outlet cocks, trough etc. Filter cloth bags are supplied at extra cost

Our range of Filling Machines is recommended for clean and accurate filling of free flowing liquids. These machines are capable of performing filling operations for a wide range of liquids such as spirit polish, varnish, oil paints, emulsion paints, oils, edible oils, soup pulps, jams, fruit juices, syrups, rubber solutions, disinfectants, creams, contact adhesives, inflammable liquids and others.

CONSTRUCTION AND WORKING:

• These machines are specially designed and are extremely useful for filling free flowing liquids into containers with large or small openings, in range of 1/4 litre to 5 litres

• The machine incorporates a heavy gauge aluminium tank fitted with:

1. Float Controlled Supply Valve: Maintains a constant level to get accurate filling

2. Fabricated and precisely machined filling valve: Suitable to different sizes of outlets, depending on container openings

3. Valve Lifter

• These machines can also be supplied with, stainless steel tank and the parts coming in contact with products
• All other parts except the stand and weighing mechanism are made of Alloy Steel and wherever necessary hardened and are easily replaceable in case of accidental damage
• No electricity or other power is required
  

SETTING THE MACHINE:

• The setting of the machine is done with empty tank, placing a hand filled container (of the size required to be fitted) on platform and move the weight on balance rod till mechanism trips off and secure the weights on balance rod

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

• The container is to be kept on the platform and the opening handle is to be actuated
• This lifts off the valve and container starts to fill
• When the required amount is filled, it automatically trips off (according to preset weight) and cuts off the filling
  

FILLING ACCURACY:

• As the filling is controlled by an accurate weighing mechanism which is operated for the gross weight of the container with the liquid filled, stays within the limit of 1/2% tolerance

OUTPUT:

• 350 and above fillings per hour of 5 litre container(Depending on the opening of container and the type of liquid.)

MAINTENANCE:

• No maintenance is needed at all except keeping the weighing mechanism lubricated
• Changing from one liquid to another is easily possible, as all the parts lift off easily without any tools or skills
• The platform and guide are also adjustable for different sizes of containers

Construction and working:

• ALFA boilers are three stage boilers

• They have a number of vertically placed straight tubes which can tolerate a higher degree of hardness

• The hot gases generated by combustion flow upwards through the steam generator tubes at high velocity, resulting in high rate of heat transfer, thereby producing steam almost instantly

• The simplicity in design of ALFA boilers provides maximum accessibility for maintenance and cleaning

• ALFA boilers are compactly mounted and can be easily placed near the corresponding processing facility/plant

• Hot gases escaping into the atmosphere contain heat, which can be advantageously utilized

• ALFA boilers have an outstanding design to utilize this heat, which is absorbed by the incoming water flowing up through specially designed water heater tubes and having a larger heating surface

• The water feeder above the steam-generating portion enables hot water to be fed into the lower steam-generating portion, resulting in increased overall efficiency

Our quality range of Elevators & Conveyors is serving our clients across the national and overseas markets for the past four decades. Our product range, known as ALFA Centrifugal Discharge Vertical Elevator is widely used in lifting the material vertically. These can lift 1.25" tons to 4 tons of material per hour which depending on the speed of elevator, material being handled and size of buckets. We also provide Bell Bucket Elevators.

Construction & Working:

• They are available in any height complete with top, bottom and intermediate casing
• The frame is made of mild steel sheet made rigid by angle iron, fitted with seamless pressed steel buckets and elevator chains
• Cast iron sprocket wheels are mounted on shaft supported by double row self-aligning ball bearings
• The take-up arrangement is at bottom for easy erection and correct tensioning of the chain. The buckets are spaced at a suitable distance
• The top shaft is extended for drive purpose

We also have in store for our clients a wide range of Screw Conveyors. These are manufactured in compliance with defined industry standards using latest technology and quality tested material. Owing to their strength, these are widely used to move oil seed, pulverized meal and oil in horizontal direction or through a slightly inclined plane.

 

Construction and working:

 

• The screw conveyor consists of a trough made up of mild steel plate with angle welded along the edges and is fitted with spiral mounted shaft, the feed is from the top at one end and discharge generally from an opening at the bottom on the other end of the trough

• The shaft is supported at both ends by bearings and also at intermediate position in long conveyors

• The shaft is extended from one end for drive purpose.

 

Screw conveyors are available in 8", 9" and 10" screw diameter sizes.

 

Magnetic Equipment:

Magnetic Plates:

 

• Permanent Magnetic Plates are used for separation of tramp iron found in tea, tobacco, coffee, cocoa, milk powder, chemicals etc.

Construction and working:

 

• They are available in both flat and curved shapes and can be installed either above or along the passage of the flow of materials

• They are provided with clamps and can be located on the conveyor of carrying such material

Magnetic Drums:

• The permanent Drum Separators are available in standard drum diameters of 300 mm,
