Alliance Vacuum Pumping Systems, are trolley mounted for easy movement, are capable of achieving an ultimate vacuum of 10 ^{-6 mbar}. Liquid nitrogen trap (optional) is to minimize the back-streaming of oil vapors, and ensures clean and better ultimate vacuum of 10^-6 m.bar range. The vacuum pumping systems are fitted with Pirani Gauge to measure the roughing and backing vacuum & Penning gauge for measuring the high vacuum.

Change of pressure in vacuum systems brings about a rise or fall in number of gas molecules present and hence a rise (or) fall in the thermal conductivity of the gas. Thus the heat loss of constant voltage electrically heated filament in the system varies with the pressure. 

The pirani gauge head filament has high temperature co-efficient of resistance. So a slight change in system pressure brings about useful change in filament resistance resulting in an out of balance voltage which can be read as a pressure on meter. The pirani gauge head indicates the total pressure of combined gases and undesirable vapors in the system on the thread wire can loss heat to both gas and vapor molecules. 

This pirani gauge instrument with two sensors having wide range of applications, in high vacuum systems where one sensor is used to measure backing vacuum and the other sensor can be used for measuring high vacuum. Pirani gauge instruments can be used in high vacuum systems, coating units, sputtering units, and many other applications where vacuum to be measured in the range of 0. 9 to 0. 001 m. Bar.
