 These
DC-DC Converters are designed to convert the 110V DC supply that is
available from Battery to various levels using high Frequency techniques
for powering interlocking relays etc. The output is fully isolated from
input and protected from over loads and shorts circuits.
Principle of Operation
The positive of the supply voltage is first filtered and given to the
primary winding of the high frequency transformer. The other end of the
transformer is connected to the MOSFET which is switched at a high
frequency in the order of above 60 kHz. The output of the high frequency
transformer is rectified using diodes and filtered using a LC filter to
reduce the ripple. This filtered output is fed to an optically isolated
control circuit which will in turn control the width of the firing pulse
given to the gate of the MOSFET there by keeping the output voltage
constant.Some of the features & benefit.
Modular Construction
To provide ease in maintenance, these converters are designed for
modular construction. The weight of the converter is kept very low (less
than 2kg) and can be inserted and removed in the rack. Once the
converter is inserted into rack, the wago connectors shall be firmly
plugged into the male wago connectors provided at the backside of the
converter.
