These switches are supplied in heavy gauge steel sheet enclosures. Switches are made up of uniform switching packets assembled to form a stack. Each packet consists of 2 sets of contacts whose moving contacts are operated by molded plastic cams when the operating shaft is turned. Switches come with molded handles that can be fixed in 16 different positions enabling it to be installed in various positions. The mechanical life of switches is about 5 million switching cycles. Due to high making and breaking capacity, the switches have a very long contact life, so much so that there is hardly any necessity of maintaining spare contacts. Terminals of these switches are easily accessible, being arranged in tiers in the upper part of the switches and are designed for connecting straight wire ends by means of arched spring washers. There is no need to prepare the lead ends or to remove the terminal screws entirely for making the connections. Terminal washers are so designed that two conductors of equal or different cross-sections up to 4 sq. mm for size 16/ 25 Amps, and can be connected on the terminal fine stranded conductors should preferably be connected by means of end sleeves.

We provide metal clad plugs and sockets which has the provision of protective cap/ cover for socket when not in use. Contact tubes of socket deeply recessed to prevent finger contact. The tripping mechanism is thermal magnetic type:

Magnetic Protection: When overload values exceed the value specified for different characteristics curves i.e. B & C, strong magnetic field is induced which results into instantaneous tripping of M.C.B.

Thermal Protection: Bi metal which deflects if the current is greater than the rated current and hence tripping the M.C.B.

Finger protection: M.C.B.''s are finger protected to IP 20 as per IS: 8828:1996 the live current carrying parts cannot be touched accidentally.

Effective Arc Quenching: Arc produced of contacts is rapidly pushed magnetically into a 12 plates Arc chamber where it is broken down effectively & cooled.

Special Alloy Contact: The contacts are made out of special alloy, which gives low contact resistance resulting in voltage drop hence very less power consumption and temperature rise. These contacts have very excellent anti weld properties.

Dual Termination: The incoming terminals are designed for termination of bus bar as well as cable individually or simultaneously. Terminals are suitable for cables upto 25 mm.
