Gear size, transmission ratio and main dimension according to standard
series    of     number,    economical      mass     production,    a favourable
manufacturing cycle, easy servicing, and smooth running with low noise.

Ambica gear box used in the cranes are totally enclosed in dust proof construction.
The gears run in oil bath and hence no external lubrication is required pinions are of EN
24 & gears are of EN 9 & 24. Gears & Pinions are precision machined. The shafts rotated
on antifriction type ball/roller bearing.

The special micro drive provides fine inching movements of trolley, hoist
or  crane  at the rate of 5% to 20% of the  main  speed.  The micro  drive is
achieved by a separate gear  box, with unique sun and planet system.
Gearing system  fitted  on the input  side of main  gear  unit and pony  motor with
separate  brake  unit.  It  is  a positive  drive  and  avoids  the  use  of  clutches  etc.
(optional).

Variable frequency  controlled  electronic AC drives are available for infinite variable control of speeds. It saves power consumed by cranes and improves load  maneuvering. We use Delta VFD drive. This drives
incorporate an inbuilt feature of automatic high speed lifting at reduced load.

Ambica light weight, slim pendant stations for medium & heavy duty applications are available as standard  preassembled  units. Push button station is suspended from one end of bridge at a suitable height from the floor level with stepped down  voltage. Pendant stations are double insulated to protect against electric shock and corrosion.

Trolly Wheel on end carriage made from EN-8  material. Double flanged straight treaded type   fitted with antifriction. Heat  treated to archive
a special sorbatized structures up to depth of 20 to 25 mm from the surface and gradually diminishing toward the center retaining the core properties. These wheels are supported on antifriction ball/ roller bearing blocks. Bearing mounted on ‘L’ type bearing housing for the case of maintenance.
