GENERAL:
- The
Pipe Threading Machine is used for Cutting
External Thread on Steel Pipe by Chasing method. HSS Tangential
Chasers are used as cutters. Pipe remains stationery and Die Head
rotates. BSP, BSPT, NPT, UNF, BSW, Acme Threads can be cut on this
machine depending upon the type of Chasers. The Pipe Threading
Machine mainly consists the following:- -
Base, - HeadStock, - Saddle, - Pillar Type Clamping Vice, -
Die Head. BASE:
- The
Base of Pipe Threading Machine is made of Cast Iron. It is Very Rigid
and sturdy in construction so as to take maximum Load and absorb max.
Vibrations. It is provided with four Nos. Foundation Holes of Dia M20
at four corners of the bed, a built-in Coolant Tank, Space for
fitting Coolant Pump. The Head Stock is fitted on the Base. HEAD
STOCK: - The
Head Stock Body of Pipe Threading Machine is made of Cast Iron. It is
Very rigid and sturdy in design. The Head Stock is designed for Two
Nos. Spindle Speeds, provided with heavy duty Helical Gears made out
of Axle Forging. The Shifting Gears slide on Splined Shafts. The
Shafts are mounted on heavy duty Ball Bearings. The Input Shaft will
be provided with a pulley having three grooves for C-Section V-belts.
The Main Spindle is mounted on Two Anti-friction Taper Roller
Bearings. The Head Stock is Oil Filled. It is provided with Oil
Filling hole, Oil Drain hole and Oil Level Indicator. Two
Hard Chrome Plated Pillars are fitted in the Head Stock body
precisely aligned with the main Spindle axis. The Pillars are ground
and finished to minimize the wear and tear. SADDLE:- The saddle made of Cast Iron, is
moved on the Pillars. It is provided with Gun Metal Bushes, precisely
machined and Hand Scraped to minimize wear and tear and for better
and accurate movement of the saddle on the pillars. It is provided
with Rack and Pinion arrangement to move the Saddle to and fro.
Lubrication Points are provided wherever necessary. CLAMPING
VICE: - The
Pillar Type Clamping Vice made of MS rods (Hardcrome plated) and
plates fitted on the Saddle. The Vice is provided with Finger Type
Clamping Jaws for Clamping the Entire range of pipe size in its cap.
The Pipe Clamping Jaws are fitted on two sliding blocks precisely
machined, fitted in the pillar Type Vice. Movement of the sliding
Blocks is made by means of a Nut & Screw arrangement, which is
then fitted with a Heavy duty Handle. One Block remains Stationery
while the second moves for the clamping purpose. DIE
HEAD:- The
Self Opening Die Head made out of Forged Steel is provided with the
Machine. The Chasers are clamped in the chaser holders. A Gun Metal
Ring provided on the Die Head is attached with the saddle by means of
a Nut & Screw arrangement which makes the Die Head to Open
(Release the pipe) after cutting a specified thread length. The Die
Head can make generally R.H. BSPT, NPT threads. For making BSP, BSW,
UNF, Parallel or L.H. threads, the Chaser Holders are to be changed.
For these threads Spare Holders can be provided at an Extra Cost. SPECIFICATIONS Min.

Pipe Bevelling Machine
is used for the purpose of beveling the Pipe End. Pipe is Beveled
from the Outer and Front is faced by two different tools. The Pipe
remains Stationery and the Beveling Head rotates and comes out of the
Head Stock for cutting the Pipe End. The Pipe Bevelling
Machine mainly consists
of the following:- Bed, - Head Stock, - Clamping Vice, -
Beveling Head. BED:
- The
Bed of Pipe Bevelling Machine
is made of Cast Iron. It is Very Rigid and sturdy in construction so
as to take maximum Load and absorb max. Vibrations. It is provided
with four Nos. Foundation Holes of Dia M20 at four corners of the
bed. It is also provided with Four Tapped holes of 5/8” BSW near
the Foundation Holes. The Head Stock and Clamping Vice is fitted on
the Bed. HEAD
STOCK: - The
Head Stock body of Pipe Bevelling Machine
is made of Cast Iron. It is Very rigid and sturdy in design. The Head
Stock is designed for Four Nos. Spindle speeds. All the Gears are of
helical type made out of Axle Forging. The width of gears is 50 mm.
The Shifting Gears slide on Splined Shafts. The Shafts are mounted on
Heavy Duty Ball Bearings. The Input Shaft will be provided with a
pulley having three grooves for C-Section V-belts. The
Main Spindle is mounted on two Taper Roller Bearings mounted in Hard
Chrome Plated Ground Sleeve. The Sleeve along with main spindle
fitted with Beveling Head is mounted in the Head Stock body and is
movable To and Fro along its axis. A Hyd. Cylinder actuated
electrically makes the movement of the sleeve in the Head Stock. The
Movement of the Sleeve can also be made manually. The Head Stock is
Oil Filled. It is provided with Oil Filling hole, Oil Drain hole and
Oil Level Indicator. CLAMPING
VICE: - The
Box Type Clamping Vice is fitted on the Bed. The Vice is provided
with Round Clamping Jaws for each size (4”, 5”, 6”, 7”, 8”,).
The Vice will be Self-centering type. The movement of the Clamping
Jaws is made by Pneumatic cylinder fitted on the Vice actuated
electrically. The Vice will be very rigid and sturdy in design.
Machine will be supplied with single clamping vice. BEVELLING
HEAD: - A
special Beveling Head will be provided with the machine. Two Tools of
HSS will be used, One for Beveling and second for Root Face. The
Beveling Tool will be mounted in a special Spring Loaded Tool Holder
with a Roller device. It is fitted on the main spindle that is then

special Facing Head will be provided with the machine fitted on the
Main Spindle. Three Tools of HSS will be used, for outer , inner and
front Chamfering. Main Spindle will be provided with MT-3 Taper
Inside for Holding Drill. SADDLE:- The saddle is moved on the Pillars.
Two Half Bushes are fitted on the saddle below the pillars, adjusted
in such a way that there is no extra clearance in the Saddle and
Pillars. It is provided with rack and pinion arrangement to move the

Description of the Coil Winding Machine: The
equipment mainly consists of the following:- Head
Stock, Base, Bed, Tail Stock, Drive arrangement,
Electrical. HEAD
STOCK:- Head
Stock Body of Coil Winding Machine is casted from close grain cast
iron. It is very rigid in design and strong enough to take maximum
load. Head Stock is Oil filled complete with Oil filling hole, Oil
level indicator and Oil drain hole. The main spindle is mounted on
three anti-friction roller bearings (one cylindrical roller and one
taper roller bearing at the front and one taper roller bearing on the
rear). The head stock gear box is designed for four spindle speeds in
both forward and reverse direction. The selection of spindle speed is
by means of levers provided on the front side of head stock. All the
shafts of head stock are mounted on antifriction roller bearings. The
gears and bearings are lubricated directly with the help of oil pump
provided in the head stock. A five digit revolution counter is also
fitted with the head stock through gearing from main spindle to
register the number of turns of spindle. Head
stock is provided with 1200 mm dia, face plate having T-slots and
holes for holding the winding moulds. A 76.2 mm spigot locating
recess is provided on face plate to centrally locate the mould. BASE:
- Base
of Coil Winding Machine is casted from close grain cast iron. It is
very rigid in design and strong enough to take maximum load. The Head
Stock, Motor, Fluid Coupling, Thruster Brake etc. are mounted on the
Base. The Base is provided with Foundation Holes of dia 20 mm. BED:
- The
Bed of Coil Winding Machine is fabricated from I-Section and steel
plates. It is Very Rigid and sturdy in construction so as to take
maximum load. The Bed is machined and grinded on the top surfaces for
smooth movement of the tail stock, the bed is provided with guide
ways and slots throughout the length of bed to clamp the tail stock
on any position of the bed. Rack is provided on the bed for easy
movement of the tail stock. It is provided with Foundation Holes of
Dia M20 for foundation. Front and rear stoppers are also provided to
restrict the tail stock movement. TAIL
STOCK:- The
base of the tail stock is fabricated from steel plates. The main body
of the tail stock is casted from close grain Cast Iron. The tail
stock unit is moved on the bed by means of a rack and pinion
arrangement. The Tail stock unit is provided with Gun Metal Liners so
as to minimizes the wear and smooth movement over the Bed. Four
Bolts are provided to clamp it on any position on the bed. The tail
stock is provided with: SPCN. No. AMT- 1128
- A sleeve with MT 5
taper and 150 mm travel. The sleeve is hard chrome plated and travel
is with the help of hand wheel.
- A lever for locking
the sleeve is provided on the top.
- A revolving centre
of MT 5 taper is provided to hold the mould centrally.
- Adjustable roller
support provided for supporting the journal of the winding mould.
The rollers are mounted on deep groove ball bearings which can be
slide up and down to accommodate various diameters of the journal by
means of screw and nut arrangement.
DRIVE
ARRANGEMENT:-The head stock gear
box is driven by an electric motor through fluid coupling unit and a
thruster brake unit for smooth breaking of the machine. The input
shaft of the gear box is fitted with a drum of thruster brake. The
other end of drum is fitted with fluid coupling which is then fitted
with the electric motor. The Electric motor is driven by means of a
foot switch. When the motor starts the thruster brake is also
released and the machine starts running.
