With increasing demands of blood and its components it became necessary to set up a blood bank with a sophisticated infrastructure. It was the vision of Anand Hospital which has set up a state of art Blood Bank in your city itself. Earlier the patients were going to Delhi for their various blood component requirements. Our Apheresis Machine is the best machine in the international market and it is also the first machine in Western U.P. Patients can get Jumbo pack of platelets in Meerut itself at Anand Hospital. We are providing blood purely on voluntary and replacements basis, each blood unit has to under go a rigorous check up for various mandatory infectious disease panel of tests, so the quality control of blood released from our blood bank is ensured. Our future is bright because in just one year our blood bank has achieved high level of standards and has made its presence felt to various doctors, patients and the public of Meerut. Our Blood Bank supplies Whole Blood, Fresh Frozen Plasma, Packed Red Blood Cells, Platelets Concentrate and Cryoprecipitate. Now patients of Anemia, Hemophilia, Thallesemia, Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation, Dengue fever and liver disorders can be treated with a better approach with less complications of blood transfusion.
The Apheresis Machine which we are have is of Fresenius Germany. Besides preparing jumbo pack this machine is capable of doing Plasma Exchange Transfusion. Stem Cell separation, WBC Apheresis and Depletion and Lymphocyte Apheresis. It is because of these above procedures that it has became possible to treat various life threatening disorders like, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Leukemia, poisoning etc. With Stem Cell Separation we can now treat Aplastic Anemia, Leukemia, Hodgkins disease etc. There is a very long list of diseases which now can be treated with stem cell separation and the list of diseases treated by stem cell separation is increasing everyday. Stem Cell Separation from HLA typed donors and then transfusion in patients is soon going to replace Bone marrow Transplantation and this substitute of Bone Marrow Transplantation is now available at Anand Hospital. It consists of disciplines of biochemistry, clinical pathology, haematology, immunology, microbiology & serology end criminology, nutrition & metabolism, infectious disease, histopathology & cytopathology.
