ANANT TOOLS Pvt. Ltd., the company engaged in the manufacture of Carpenter's Metal Bodied Bench Planes of different models was founded in 1949, under the name and style as 'ANANT Industries' by Late Sh.S.P.Chopra, a Mechanical Engineer by profession. The work was started in a small rented building of 100 square yards at New Railway Road, Jalandhar with the initial investment of INR.20,000/- only. At the very start , it was though a tiny unit, but it had the rare distinction of being the 'First Industrial Unit' to start the production of Carpenter's Iron Planes in the country, which at that time were being imported from U.K. and U.S.A. Anant products are competing with the imported products in quality and price, which were introduced in the local market in 1952. The factory was shifted from Railway Road to the Company's own premises of 1200 square yards in Industrial Area in the year 1965. The work has now expanded considerably with the addition of one more unit, ANANT OVERSEAS, premises of 10000 sq. yds., at A-1, Focal Point, Jalandhar. The Carpenter's T- Bar Clamps made of Mechanically Drawn T-Iron and S.G. Iron Jaws, Hand Saw, Combination and Sharpning stone or Silicon Carbide ston, F clamp, T Bar clamp, Carpentry Tools, Steel Sash Bar Clamps, Clamp Heads, Flooring Clamps, Sheet Metal Planes along with Masonary Tools like Brick Trovels, Plastering Trovels, Steel Bodied F-Clamp,Jack Planes, Tee Bar Clamp, Pipe Vices,Wrecking Bars are also added in our range of tools. Mr. Swatantar Chopra, Managing Director, son of Sh. S. P. Chopra And Mr. Anuj Chopra, Director Marketing, son of Sh.Swatantar Chopra is now managing the group. The ANANT Carpenter's Iron Planes along with other Carpentry Tools are well known for their quality & workmanship throughout India, and in the foreign markets also. The company is exporting its products to Europe, Russian Federation, U.S.A., Middle East, Australia, Gulf and the African countries.
