Service Process:
Oxy-fuel cutting is a combustion process where in oxygen jet burns the metal in a narrow section to make a cut and removes the combustion products (slag) from the kerf. Purity of the cutting oxygen is of key importance to achieve the desired cutting speed. High productivity is achieved with use of highly pure oxygen. Prior to the process, steel is preheated to ignition temperature with the help of oxygen/fuel gas flame. Cutting process is influenced with the type of gas/fuel used in terms of quality, preheating times and the thickness of the material that can be cut with good results. Cutting nozzle is the most critical part of the cutting equipment as performance of a nozzle rises with the increasing exit velocity of the cutting oxygen jet which is depended on the design of the nozzle orifice.
