The Aquameter's intelligent microprocessor technology employs ingenious methods for extracting subsurface information. It is a popular instrument, because of its single button operation, deep penetration, accurate and reliable results, even in adverse field conditions. The instrument has a facility to measure self potential (SP) which is useful in mineral prospecting and environmental studies.

This model was developed considering the requirements of water level logging in a 4” bore hole (Peizometer). The unit has a motorized probe, which senses the water level electronically. On demand from the logger the probe is lowered into the hole till it touches the water surface. The traverse of the probe is continuously measured by means of an optical encoder and the depth of the water surface below the datum level is calculated.

This was developed considering the requirements of recording the changes in water levels in dams, lakes, reservoirs etc. This model uses the Float & Counter Weight system where the movement of the pulley is encoded digitally by means of an optical encoder.
