Quality Assurance
Quality has been one of the foremost objectives and we take
utmost care in achieving this throughout our pre and post production process. We
have set up a quality plan as per which all our products are evaluated. We
ensure all R M including optical glass is as per the specifications before they are used in the production process. Final optical fiber cables and other products are also subjected to testing for various standard parameters. As per our quality management system we also check on the
overall aspect of manufacturing and supplying such as the following:
- Improving
supplier's performance
- Reducing
rejection rate
- Increasing
machine utilization and efficiency
- Focus
on cost reduction
- Practice
good storage facility
In addition, we also take care of other important aspects such
as packaging and delivering our range within stipulated timeframe.

Fiber Optics
As Fiber optic is only carrier of light, optical fibers has following salient features: Physical
Principles: Optical
Fiber is structurally two different glass-core and clad, both with
different refractive index. Light rays which enter the fiber at one
end are guided along the core by total internal reflections at the
core – clad interface; the light rays follow all the bends in the
fiber and exit the fiber at its other end. Advantages Safety:
- Virtually
no heat at the point of lighting-light is transmitted through glass
optical fibre. Glass being bad conductor of heat, which allows heat
sensitive parts / object to be illuminated without any damage /
deterioration.
- Usable
at high temperature - Using optical fibre signal can be transmitted
to electronic circuit at remote location, which otherwise is not
possible as electronic circuits are very sensitive to ambient
temperature.
- Micro
Size – Optic fibres are small and physically unobtrusive, hence it
can be used in relatively inaccessible places.
- Electro
– Magnetic Immunity – Fibre optic cables are electrically
passive, since it carries light only without getting corrupted by
electromagnetic interference.
- No
Explosive Hazards – Transmits light only – No heat, No
electricity. Hence, it can be safely installed in potentially
flammable areas like, mines, petroleum industries etc. without any
risk of electrical spark or fire.
- Non-Corrosive
– Since optic fibres are made of glasses they are not affected by
any corrosive fluids or gases.
- Unaffected
by extreme atmospheric conditions – Glass is unaffected by ultra
violet rays and infrared rays there it can be used in extreme
atmospheric conditions.
Convenience
& Low maintenance
- Easy
Access – Source of light is isolated from the point of lighting.
This gives the freedom of designing and convenient access to the
source of light for repair and maintenance.
- Easy
Maintenance – A single source of light to illuminate many
locations. Hence maintenance is simplified and can be centralized.
- Wide
Usage – Fibre optics can be used for various parameter
measurements like temperature, pressure velocity, displacement,
stress, etc.
Design
Effects
- Design
Patterns – Light source generating coloured patterns allows
creative and dynamic effects to be achieved simply and cost
effectively.
- Focused
Lighting – Emitted light has narrow dispersion resulting in better
targeting of light on the object.
Applications The
user industry of Bundled fibre optics can be classified as follows: Medical
