The CYBERack is a successor to the S10 family of enclosures which were introduced in 1983 and rapidly became an industry standard in the country. The original design has been re-engineered completely so as to reduce weight and cost, while improving the aesthetics and the precision.

The load capacity remains at 550 kgs. The four corner vertical profiles are fixed rigidly to welded steel end frames so as to provide an extremely stable frame structure. The doors have concealed hinges and close within the aluminium profiles so as to provide sealing against dust and protection against transportation damage.

The Electromagnetically Compatible (EMC) cabinet family from APW President is based on an extremely rugged steel 19″ enclosure system. These cabinets provide a high level of RFI shielding so as to protect sensitive electronic equipment housed inside them against interference from external electromagnetic radiation.

These EMC cabinets have been carefully engineered to provide between 30 – 55 db of signal attenuation in the frequency range of 1 MHz – 1000 MHz. The RFI gaskets used are combination elastomer gaskets which provide not just radiation sealing, but environmental sealing as well.

As the majority of servers sold today require air as the cooling medium, it is essential for any datacenter design to ensure that each and every server location be provided with the correct volume, temperature and humidity of air.

Using the Hot/Cold Aisle principle, server racks in modern data centers are arranged perpendicular to the CRAC (Computer Room Air-Conditioning) units. All under-floor obstructions (such as cable trays), should be removed.

According to the Green Grid, cooling solutions consume approximately 63 percent of the power in a datacenter. As the power consumption increases, there is more heat generation, with an increase in carbon emission. Since power is a big expense, any power savings will only mean reduced costs.

By simply preventing the common and increasingly critical problem of short-circuited hot airflow returning directly back into the cold aisle, significant cooling and energy efficiencies are achieved. This is the concept used in President’s Cool Way solution for Cold Aisle Containment.

President’s CoolRack is an innovative enclosure that can address heat loads upto 5 KW. Using the concept of Focused Cooling,  the CoolRack allows cool air to enter the rack directly from below through the raised datacenter flooring. A high-pressure cool air wall is created between the front faces of the servers and the front glass door of the rack. All the sides in the front are sealed to prevent any air leakages, thereby forcing the cool air through the server. The exhaust hot air is then taken out of the rack through a rear perforated door into the Hot Aisle. Additional fan enhancers can be installed to address any specific hot pockets that may arise at the exhaust points of the servers.

Based on the ASHARE guidelines of Isolating the hot air mixing from the Cold Air this Cabinet is designed with an exhaust duct. The Cool air enters the Datacenter though the Grill opening in the Cold Aisle is passed through the servers. The Cabinet is fixed with high suction fans on the rear side of the top cover which creates negative pressure between the Server Exhaust and the rear Plain Door. Due to the negative pressure generated in the rear side of the server, forces the cool air from the cold Aisle to flow through the Server. The Exhaust Duct sits exactly over the rear top fans and channelizes the hot air into the return air plenum without mixing with the Cold Air in the datacenter.
