Deep Groove Ball Bearings
|
Deep groove ball bearings are capable of operating at high speeds and are widely used radial bearings. These non-separable bearings are available in a wide variety of seal, shield and snap-ring arrangements. Deep groove ball bearings have deep uninterrupted raceways & a high degree of conformity between balls & raceways. This allows them to carry axial loads in both directions at reasonably high speeds. These bearings can sustain radial, axial, or composite loads. ARB offers a wide range Deep groove ball bearings & four point contact ball bearings & wheel bearings.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings
|
Angular contact ball bearings are non-separable type bearings and typically used for carrying combined (axial and radial) loads. They can carry pure axial load and operate in higher speed. Angular contact ball bearings have raceways in the inner and outer rings that are displaced with respect to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. Single row angular contact ball bearings can carry axial loads acting in one direction only. Under the radial loads the force acting in the axial direction needs to be countered. It is usually adjusted against the second bearing. These bearings have one high and one low shoulder on each ring allowing more number of balls to be incorporated. The design of double row angular contact ball bearings is similar to two single row angular contact ball bearings. The design is non separable type. The basic design does not have filling slots and can accommodate equal axial loads in both directions. The ones with a larger outer diameter have filling slots in one direction and have a pressed steel cage.ARB manufacture’s a wide range of single & double row angular contact ball bearings. Self Aligning Ball Bearings
|
The self-aligning ball bearings has two rows of balls. A common concave sphered raceway in the outer ring. The center of whose curvature meets that of the bearing itself, so that the inner ring, balls and cage continue to rotate. The self-aligning ball bearings with a tapered bore can easily be fit to the shaft with an adapter assembly. Some of the features of the self aligning ball bearings are: - Run cooler even at high speeds
- Easy mounting and dismounting
- Self-aligning ball bearings are used for commercial ground shafting applications
- Since axial load capacity is limited, self-aligning ball bearings are not suitable for applications with heavy axial loads

Single direction thrust bearings has two washers, with grooved raceways, & the curvature of the raceways is slightly larger than that of ball. Out of two washers, one is shaft washer & the other one is housing washer. The bore of the shaft washer is of the shaft dia & the bore of the housing washer is slightly larger than that of shaft washer, to facilitate free rotation. This types of thrust bearings are mainly used where axial load conditions are too large to be accepted by radial bearings. They can accept purely Thrust load in single direction & they are not suitable for speed applications.
