The Chromel - Alumel K curve thermocouple with a Positive Chromel wire and a negative Alumel wire is recommended for use in clean oxidizing atmospheres. This is a 'general purpose' thermocouple. It is low cost and, owing to its popularity, it is available in a wide variety of probes. Thermocouples are available in the -200C to +1200 C range. Use type K unless you have a good reason not to.

Two types of noble metal thermocouples are in common use. They are Type R (Platinum / Rhodium 13%) A positive wire of 87% platinum and 13% rhodium used with a negative wire of pure platinum. They have high resistance to oxidization and corrosion, they recommended operating range for the platinum rhodium alloys is 1600 C. Low sensitivity and high cost makes them unsuitable for general purpose use. Type S (Platinum / Rhodium 10%) S type suited for high temperature measurement up to 1600 C. Low sensitivity and high cost makes them unsuitable for general purpose use. Due to its high stability type S is used as the standard of calibration for the melting point of gold (1064.43 C). Thermocouple types B, R and S are all 'noble' metal thermocouples and exhibit similar characteristics. They are the most stable of all thermocouples, but due to their low sensitivity they are usually only used for high temperature measurement (>300 C).

The Copper -constantan T curve thermocouple with a Positive Copper wire and a negative Constantan wire is recommended for use in mildly oxidizing and reducing atmospheres up to 400 C, they are suitable for applications where moisture is present. This alloy is recommended for low temperature work since the homogeneity of the component wires can be maintained better than other base metal wires. Therefore, errors due to in homogeneity of wires in zones of temperature gradients are greatly reduced. A thermocouple best suited for measurements in the -200 to 0 degree Celsius range. The positive conductor is made of copper, and the negative conductor is made of constantan.

Needle valves are designed in screwed in bonnet & integral bonnet type with male or female screwed ends also available in bw /tube ends etc. Material : SS 304 / SS 316 / Carbon steel / Monel / Hostelloy C' & Brass Test Pressure : up to 420 Kg/cm 2 (High pressure valves also available on request) Range : 1/8 to 2 Applications : Needle valves are generally used in Food process industries, Chemical plants, Oil & Petrochemical industries, Test bench etc.

Ball valves are designed in three piece. Design with screwed female end connections. Also, end connections are available with tube ends etc. Material : SS316, SS 304, Carbon Steel, Brass Test Pressure : up to 200 Kg/cm 2 for Medium Pressure & 400 Kg/cm 2 for high Pressure Range : 1/8 to 2 Applications : These valves are generally useful where the full flow is required. For example, Oil & Petrochemical industries, Test bench etc.

The Iron - constantan J curve thermocouple with a Positive Iron wire and a negative Constantan wire is recommended for reducing atmospheres. The Operating range for this alloy combination is 870 C for the largest wire sizes. Smaller size wires should operate in correspondingly lower temperatures. Limited range (-40 to +750 C) makes type J less popular than type K. The main application is with old equipment that can not accept 'modern' thermocouples. J types should not be used above 760 C as an abrupt magnetic transformation will cause permanent deceleration.

High stability and resistance to high temperature oxidation makes type N suitable for high temperature measurements without the cost of platinum (B,R,S) types. Designed to be an 'improved' type K, it is becoming more popular.

Inline N R V's are designed in two piece design. These valves are generally useful where the flow is required in one direction these valves are available in Screwed & Tube end connections. Globe valves are designed in union bonnet type & os & Y type(with separate body & yoke fitted with bolts) in which the separate seat & globe where provided, these valves are available with end connection screwed / sw / bw /& Tube ends etc. Material : A 479, A 182 Gr.F SS 316, SS 304, A 105 Test Pressure : up to 420 Kg/cm 2 (High Pressure Valves also available on request) Range : to 2 Applications : These valves are generally useful in Sugar plants, Chemical & mining industries, Refineries, Power plants etc.
