PTA Hardfacing & Cladding Systems PTA or Powder Plasma Arc Welding System is a welding process which uses powder metals which are fed into the Welding Arc to produce a metallurgically sound weld used for Hardfacing, Cladding, Metal Build Up, Reclamation, Protection from Corrosion etc. The powders are standard metals and alloys or proprietory metal alloys like Stellite.
The metals are chosen for the application after taking into account the base metal characteristics and component working life requirements.
Features:
PTA power source with Inverter technology.
Built in units for Pilot arc & Welding Arc.
Built in gas console/torch manifold.
Facilities like Pre/Post flow, Base/Peak current UP/Down slope.
APPLICATIONS
In a competition with laser surfacing, the PTA technology offers much more high productivity, comparable high quality of deposits and significantly lower costs.
Typical application areas of the PTA technology are Extruding Machine Screws, Valves, Valve Seats of Internal Combustion Engines (Motorcars, Marines, Locomotives etc.), Accessories for Ships, Petroleum Chemistry and Power Generation, Cutting Tools (Milling Cutters, Broaches, Knifes), Equipments for Mining, Crushing, Rolling, Road Building and Tunneling, Process Equipment in Ceramics and Cement Production, Moulds and Forging Dies, Pulp and Paper Industry Equipments, Agricultural Equipments, Parts for Nuclear Plants, Parts for Chemical Plants.
