Colloidal -MCC Co-processed CMC Alfacel -P(CC)

ALFACEL – P(CC) is the trade name of Sodium CMC co-processed with MCC manufactured by the company. Microcrystalline Cellulose manufactured by the Company is very good tableting, however the addition of some quantity of NaCMC to MCC results in its having amazing rheological properties and hence serving a wonderful magical suspending agent for preparation of Collidal dispersions.

ALFACEL – P (CC)

There are four types of ALFACEL – P(CC) as mentioned in the above table. All types are white, odourless and testless hygroscopic powders. They are insoluble in organic solvents and dilute acids & partially soluble in both dilute alkali & water (CMC fraction ).

Uses :-

• O/W Emulsifier : Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic lotions and creams

• Emulsifier Stabilizer : Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic creams

• Foam stabilizer : Aerosol foams

• Suspending Agents : Pharmaceuticals & cosmetics suspensions, reconstituable pharmaceutical suspensions, such as antibiotics

• Body agent, Stiffener Opacifier : Pharmaceutical & cosmetic creams, vaginal gels, cosmetic gels.
