About Mastitis:Mastitis or inflammation of the milk glands is a disease, which is caused by different bacteria. These bacteria are omnipresent. Immediately after milking, when teat canals are still open, the bacteria can easily pass in to the udder. Mastitis occurs in both clinical and sub-clinical form, later shows no visible symptoms. It has been estimated that about 20% all cows/buffaloes suffer from mastitis and 80% of these are sub-clinical. If the disease reaches the clinical stage, veterinary treatment is required.Mastitis costs huge sum to dairy farmers every year. This is primarily through loss of milk, veterinary and allied costs.

SAAF TEAT for daily use in the mastitis prevention:

SAAFTEAT is an iodine based treatment solution. The active iodine is sufficient to reach an excellent bacteria killing effect. SAAFTEAT when used gives very low milk residues. SAAFTEAT also contains skin conditioning compounds, which makes teats soft and smooth.

Teat Spray: SAAFTEAT spray is used for disinfection of cows/buffaloes teats after milking. By spraying the Teats by SAAFTEAT after each milking the incidence of Mastitis can be controlled. Therefore, always spray the SAAFTEAT on teats, immediately after milking and prevent bacteria from entering the teat canal. The risk of infection is greatest after milking as the teat canal is open for approximately 30 minutes.

Instruction for Use: Fill SAAFTEAT concentrate in the spray bottle in 1:4 proportion, i.e. one part of SAAFTEAT concentrate and four parts of clean water. Now this solution is ready for spraying on Teats, immediately after milking. For pre-milking udder washings, take 1 part of SAAFTEAT concentrate and add 25 parts of clean water. Available in 200ml, 500ml, 1litre, 5 litre, 10 litre, 35 litre and 200 litres pack size.

SAAFTEAT Concentrate: SAAFTEAT is conventional iodine-based teat spray concentrate offering a fast kill of bacteria, spores and other mastitis causing micro organisms. SAAFTEAT has excellent skin-conditioning properties that makes teat skin smooth & soft thus preventing cracks and lesions. SAAFTEAT also helps in improving milk production.

Each ml contains:

• Available iodine: 0.71%/w/v
• Glycerin sorbitol and solvent: q.s.

Direction for Use:

SAAFTEAT can be spread or dipped and should be applied on the teats directly. For pre milking udder washing: 1+25 to one part of SAAFTEAT add 25 parts of clean water. For post milking teat dip/spray 1+4. To one part of SAAFTEAT add 4 parts of clean water.

A SAAFTEAT- Kit is also available which contains:

• SAAFTEAT concentrate 200 ml bottle.
• Teat Spray.
• Spray bottle.
• In place of Teat Spray, if required Dip cup is also available.
