ASTRAL FLEXIBOND helps to control water / cement ratio, has waterproofing properties, has high strength and improves workability.

USES :

ASTRAL FLEXIBOND is used as a bond coat between new and old cement surface.

As an admixture it improves most of the cement plaster characteristic, for waterproofing and floor repair it can be used in specific compositions.

APPLICATION :

Surface has to be prepared for all applications. All loose particles should be thoroughly removed mechanically using wire brush. Dirt and grease should also be cleaned.

 

BOND COAT : a)ASTRAL FEXIBOND : cement : water should be mixed in the ratio

of 1:1:4 by weight and applied by brush for application on gypsum or POP

1: 1:2 for plastering.

b) Apply 2 coats of ASTRAL FLEXIBOND by brush/spray on a

properly prepared surface. The second coat should be applied after 1

hour of the 1^st coat. Plastering can be done within 7 days of the 2^nd

coat, and after 1 hour of application of the 2^nd coat.

ADMIXTURE : 1% of ASTRAL FEXIBOND to 5% of cement mortar to be used on

cement weight.

Waterproofing : Apply bondcoat by brush as primer. Mix ASTRAL FLEXIBOND

cement in 1:1 ratio and apply two coats by brush on prepared

surface.

 

FLOOR REPAIR: Apply bondcoat by brush as primer. Mix ASTRAL FEXIBOND,

ASTRAL BOND NC and water in the ratio 1 : 20: 2 by weight. With

a trowel apply the mixture on previously prepared surface.

 

PREPARATION

• The prepared mixture should all be used in 30 minutes so prepare the quatity

required .

• Stir the content of the drum thoroughly to disperse the settled matter.

• Use fresh cement only.

• Do not store the drums in direct sunlight.

 

 

CURING

Curing is best achieved by a fine spray of water. Curing should begin after 24 hours of application & continue for at least 3 days.

 

NOTE

• Clean all tools with water immediately after use.

• The mixer consists of shaft with spiral blades, fitted in place of the drill bit of the hand electric drill

• The mixes given above are by way of general recommendations.

The Extruded Polystyrene Foam (INSUBOARD) manufactured by us is employed for safeguarding buildings from acute temperatures during the summer and winter seasons. From the extrusion process, these extruded polystyrene board are equipped with seated cells and have remarkable mechanical properties. Their high density and mechanical strength allows high resistance against vapor diffusion. The closed cells are constituted homogeneously, which assists in protection against water absorption and does not allow any variation in thermal resistance. Due to these qualities, this product is extensively used in walls, pitched roofs and rooftops.

Fire Retarding Paints is a high quality intumescent coating that is the standard for all civilian, land based applications, including residential, commercial and industrial uses.

ASTRAL RC-OH is a user friendly cost effective product formulated for conversion of rust from anunstable oxide form into a stable phosphate form

Application :

• Remove any rust from the surface using a wire brush or by mechanical means.
• Apply ASTRAL RC-OH using either a brush or a roller.
• On application, the chemical reaction takes place the iron oxide gets converted to a stable phosphate compound within 60 minutes.
• The conversion of the red colour rust to a grayish-black coat is the indication that the conversion is complete and the surface is ready for accepting any further protective coating to prevent rusting in future.
• It is important to apply a protective coating once the rust is converted for protection of the steel.

The high concentration of this release agent allows a dilution upto eight parts with water depending upon the porosity of the form work

Properties :

The thin film of the release agent prevents the cement slurry to stick to the form work, leaving the concrete surface also without the coating of the release agent

Application :

• Ensure that the surface of the form work is clean
• Mix 1 part Astral Release EMC with 5 parts water, the ratio of Astral Release
   EMC: W ater is 1:5
• On the cleaned form work apply a single coat of Astral Release EMC using a spray. A
   very thin coat is sufficient.
• Please ensure that the coated surface is protected from dust and direct sunlight.
Note:
• It is advisable to use the coated surface as soon as possible.
• However the properties of ASTRAL RELEASE EMC as not affected even if the surface dries out.
