Mr Anuj Bhagwati elected as the Chairman of the TMMA E-mail Print PDF Anuj Bhagwati has been elected as the Chairman of the Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (India) (TMMA) for the year 2009-10. He takes over the reigns of TMMA from the outgoing Chairman, Mr Sridhar Varadharaj. Prior to being elected as the Chairman of the TMMA, Anuj had held various positions in TMMA, such as the Hon. Treasurer from 1999-2000 to 2004-2005, the Second Vice-Chairman for 2005-06 and 2006-07 and the First Vice-Chairman for 2007-08 and 2008-09. Anujs election as the Chairman of TMMA coincided with its golden jubilee year, as TMMA came into being in 1958. The golden jubilee was celebrated with a glittering function held at hotel Taj President, Mumbai, on 20 August 2009. A souvenir titled Catalysing Craft, a commemorative volume of TMMAs 50 years of excellent service to Indian textile machinery manufacturers, was released on the occasion.
