Biobact

Biobact is a Nitrogen fixing biofertilizer. Nitrozyme contains highly efficient nitrogen fixing bacteria of Azotobacter species. Azotobacter is free-living non-symbiotic aerobic nitrogen fixing bacteria found in rhizosphere zone of many plants. Azotobacter produces a variety of growth promoting substances like Indole acetic acid (IAA), gibberellins (GA), Vitamin-B and antifungal substances. Another important characteristics of Azotobacter associate with crop improvement is excretion of ammonia in the rhizosphere in presence of root exudates. It fixes approximately 20-30 kg of biological nitrogen per hector per season. Biobact is available as carrier based solid formulation as well as stable liquid formulation.

BioBOOST is a Nitrogen fixing biofertilizer. BioBoost–N has highly efficient nitrogen fixing bacteria of Rhizobium species. Rhizobium is the most well known species of a group of symbiotic bacteria for atmospheric nitrogen fixation. These bacteria infect the roots of leguminous plants, leading to the formation of “lumps” or “Nodules” where the nitrogen fixation takes place. The bacterium also produces enzymes (nitrogenase) that supply a constant source of reduced nitrogen to the host plant. BioBoost is available as carrier based solid formulation.

it is a liquid Nitrogen Fixing Biofertilizer based on stable liquid cyst formulation of nitrogen fixing bacterium called Azospirillum. The Azospirillum strain used in BioFIX-LQ has been developed at Aumgene’s R&D center through various strain optimization techniques. Based on our novel in-house process and formulation technique BioFIX-LQ is a potent concentrate of Azospirillum cysts that are stable for upto 1 year. When applied to soil the Azospirrilum cysts quickly germinate into vegetative cells and are able to fix atmospheric nitrogen in large quantities.

BioFIX–N is a Nitrogen fixing biofertilizer. Nitrogen is a major nutrient for all plants. BioFIX–N has highly efficient nitrogen fixing bacteria of Azospirillum species. Azospirillum is a very useful soil and root bacterium. It is an associative symbiotic Nitrogen fixing bacteria. It is found in the soil around plant roots and root surface. When Azospirillum is added to the soil, it multiplies in millions and can supply 20-40 kg of nitrogen per hectare per season. It also produces growth-promoting substances like Indole acetic acid (IAA), gibberellins, and promotes root proliferation. It increases the rootlet density and root branching resulting in the increased uptake of mineral and water. Plant growth promoting substance like pantothenic acid, thiamine and niacin are produced by azospirrillum in large quantities. These substances improve the plant growth and yield.

BioSOL–P is a phosphate solublising biofertilizer. Phosphorus is a major nutrient for plants inducing vigorous growth and also contributing to their disease resistance. Phosphorous helps in root formation and plant growth. The plants utilize only 10–15% of phosphate applied. The balance 85 – 90% remains in insoluble form in the soil. The BioSOL–P has highly efficient phosphate solublising bacteria (Bacillus megatarium) that grow and secrete organic acids, which dissolve this unavailable phosphate into soluble form and make it available to the plants. Thus, the residual phosphate fertilizers in the soil can be well utilized and external application can be optimized.

it is a liquid phosphate solubilizing biofertilizers based on stable liquid spore formulation of phosphate solubilizing bacterium called Bacillus megaterium. The Bacillus megaterium strain used in Biosol-P (LQ) has been developed at Aumgene’s R&D center through various strain optimization techniques. It has a high sporulation characteristic and has a strong potency towards solubilization of various phosphate fertilizers such as DAP, SSP, etc. as well as Rock Phosphate and various other phosphate salts present in soil. When Biosol-P (LQ) is applied to soil, the millions of bacillus spores present in it germinate into vegetative cells and actively bring about solubilization of insoluble phosphate salts and make them available to plants.


 
 

Sugarzyme

SugarZyme’s active ingredient is a very significant symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacterium for sugarcane. It was first discovered in high yielding varieties of sugarcane grown in Brazil. As per international research findings upto 40% biological nitrogen fixation in sugarcane is due to this bacteria. It addition to its nitrogen fixation it also secretes useful growth promoting hormones such as Indole Acetic Acid (IAA). Sugarzyme is available as carrier based solid formulation as well as stable liquid formulation.

It is a stable liquid formulation of Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus. Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus is a very effective nitrogen fixing endophytic bacteria for sugarcane. After rigorous research work, Aumgene’s R&D team has been able to develop a liquid formulation of G. diazotrophicus which is stable for a period of 6 months at room temperature. Also through process and media optimization we are able to achieve counts upto 1010 CFU / ml. International research findings show that this bacterium can supply upto 40% nitrogen requirement for Sugarcane per annum if applied in the recommended dose. In addition to Nitrogen fixation, G. diazotrophicus also has very potent phosphate solubilizing charaterisitics


 
 

Super Culture

Super Culture

umgene’s Biocomposting system (Trade name: Super Culture) is a very effective consortium of bacterial and fungal species which have been isolated by Aumgene’s research team from various biodiversities. These microbes have been selected based on their effectiveness to decompose cellulosic matter to organic compost which is very useful as fertilizer / manure in agriculture. In addition to its benefit in traditional farming it can also be used as organic manure for organic farming.

This product is presently used by various sugar factories for aerobic composting of Press mud and distillery spent wash. It is also a very effective product for composting of agricultural waste / residues (all types of dried plants, stems, leaves, stalks, etc) to produce very good quality farm yard manure. Several farmers across India have been using our biocomposting system and have greatly benefited from the savings resulting through its use.


 
 

Amylases

Amylases act on starch (amylose and amylopectin). They split starch into dextrins and sugars by cleaving the alpha -1,4 glycosidic linkages in the interior of the starch chain. Amylases can be derived from bacteria and fungi. They play a major role in the animal health, detergent, food ingredients, beverage, brewing, textile, starch, alcohol & sugar industries.


 
 

Amyloglucosidases

Also called glucoamylases, these enzymes act on starch, dextrins and sugars by cleaving the a-1, 4 glycosidic linkages releasing glucose stepwise from the end of the chain. They are widely used in the manufacture of glucose and for conversion of carbohydrates to fermentable sugars. They play a major role in the starch & alcohol, sugar industries.

Biofuel Ethanol

Aumgene has a wide range of enzymes that are very efficient in breaking down starch and other polysaccharides / carbohydrates that can be fermented to ethanol. Ethanol is commonly produced using any of the three feedstocks – Corn, Sugarcane juice or Molasses. The ethanol yield from using molasses feedstock as a source of fermentable sugar is very less companred to using sugarcane juice (as used in Brazil). Use of Corn as a fermentation feedstock requires enzymatic hydrolysis (using thermostable amylase and glucoamylase) to break down the starch to fermentable sugars.


 
 

Brewing Enzymes

In beer production the starting material (fermentation media) is made through a process known as mashing in which crushed barley malt is mixed with hot water in large vessels. In addition to malt other starch rich cereals such as corn, sorghum, rice and barley or pure starch are also used to increase the starch content (carbon source for the yeast fermenation). In addition to the carbon source (starch) the yeast also requires nitrogen for proper growth. The protein present in the malt and other cereals can be utilized as a source of nitrogen. However the protein content of malt has to be solubilized for its effective use by the brewing yeast. This can be achieved by using protease enzymes which breakdown proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids which can be utilized by the yeast.


 
 

Catalase

Catalases are enzymes that break down hydrogen peroxide to water and molecular oxygen. Mainly used in the textile industry, catalases effectively remove the residual hydrogen peroxide, thus ensuring that the fabric is peroxide-free.


 
 

Cellulases

Cellulases act on cellulose molecules by hydrolysing the beta-1, 4 glycosidic linkages. They largely produce cellobiose, which can ultimately yield glucose units, depending on the characteristic of the enzyme. Cellulases find wide application in the food ingredients, beverage and textile industries.


 
 

Desizing Enzymes

Alpha-amylase is commonly used in textile industries to remove the starch warp sizing from fabric. The warp (starch) size protects is used during the weaving stage as a coating on the yarn to minimize yarn breakage. However due the warp size the fabric becomes stiff and unsuitable for further processing. Amylase is used to remove the size (starch) making the fabric softer and suitable for further processing (dyeing & printing).

Fabric Processing

With the advent of cellulase enzymes stonewashing of cotton fabric with only pumice stones is gradually becoming obsolete. Use of cellulases along with pumice stones for stonewashing of denim garments the stonewashing cycle time can be reduced to half. Also use of cellulase along with pumice stone alone has several other advantages such as reduced energy cost, reduced handling and removal of stone pieces from the demin fabric after stonewashing and most importantly better softness and strength retention of the stonewashed garments.


 
 

Glucanases

Glucanases act on beta-1,3 and beta-1,4 bonds in beta-D-glucans. Beta-glucanases are of particular interest to the brewing industry, where they act on the glucans that impede clarification of wort and filtration of beer. This enzyme is also widely used in the animal health industry.


 
 

Hemicellulases

Hemicellulases act on hemicellulose (also called pentosan), a polymer of pentose sugars. They are mainly used in the baking (food ingredient) industry to improve the quality of dough, soften breadcrumbs and increase overall volume. They are also used in the animal health industry.


 
 

Juice And Fruit Processing Enzymes

Various attributes of juice and fruit processing industry are now met with different classes of enzymes. With the help of enzymes various problems such as low juice yield, lack of color, poor cloud stability, etc are handled effectively. Pectinases and Amylases group of enzymes are most commonly used for this application.


 
 

Leather

Before tanning the hides and skins is essential to parially or totally remove the protein and fat deposits between the collagen fibres. Proteases are commonly used for protein removal and lipases are used to remove the fat. For effective application the enzymes are commonly formulated with by surfactants and organic solvents.


 
 

Lipases

Lipases break down natural lipids and oils into free fatty acids and glycerol. This group of enzymes is widely used in the leather and detergent industries.


 
 

Mycovam

MycoVAM contains Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizas (VAM). VAM are symbiotic entophytic soil fungi, which colonize the roots of approximately 80% plants. VAM fungi produce hyphae, which are microscopic tubes that colonize crop roots and grow out into the soil further than root hairs. Nutrients are taken up by the hyphae and carried back to the plant. This results into very efficient mobilization & uptake of fertilizers and other nutrients by plants. The VAM hyphae also helps is retaining moisture around the root zone of plants.


 
 

Paper & Pulp

Pulp and Paper are made up of cellulosic fibers. Aumgene’s offers enzymes for various applications for the Pulp and Paper Industry. The enzymes modify cellulose fibers and optimize the bleaching, refining, de-inking and waste water processing for recycle. The enzymes have been formulated to work on recycle as well as virgin grades. Use of enzymatic treatment offers several benefits to the paper and pulp industry such as energy savings, improved brightness, improved strength, cleaner white water systems, less linting and dusting and environmental benefits like wastewater stream cleaning and reduction in total Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD).


 
 

Phytases

Phytases dephosphorylate phytin. By converting phytin phosphorus into an available form, they help reduce the quantity of supplemented phosphorus. Phytases are recommended for use in the animal health industry for monogastric animals on a plant diet.


 
 

Probiotics

Some of the most common problems that shrimp farming faces include viral attacks, oxygen depletion and toxicity build-up in ponds. Treating of shrimp ponds with antibiotics and chemicals are not very effective and do not solve these problems. With the use of carefully selected microbes as aqua-probiotics offers a very strong solution to these problems.

Aumgene offers highly selective consortia of microbes that are very effective in degrading organic waste from shrimp ponds. It significantly improves the water quality of ponds and helps in maintaining proper algal balance and pond color which are essential for good shrimp yields.


 
 

Starch Processing

Acid hydrolysis of starch has several disadvantages and is replaced by enzymatic hydrolysis. Various enzymes are now available to undertake almost every step of the starch processing.
