Welspun has started H.R.Plates production

Aurohill Group is entering Russian market with H.R.Plates produced by new steel mill of Welspun GSRL.

Welspun has started operations of Hot Rolled Plate mill, targeting at wide plates upto 4600 mm width, API Grades X-70 and X-80.

New mill uses latest VAI/SIEMENS technology and produces plates:
- pipe grades upto X-80
- width 1500 - 4500 mm (max pipe diameter 1420 mm)
- thickness 10 - 45 mm

For Q1 2008, planned capacity for Russian market is 70'000 - 100'000 per quarter, with increase to 200'000 - 250'000 per quarter till end of 2008.   4 October 2006

Welspun and TMK will create JV to produce large diameter pipes in Russia

WELSPUN Gujarat Stahl Rohren Limited and TMK Group has signed MOU to produce LSAW pipes in Russia.

Aim of JV is to create new capacities for the production of Longitudinal
Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) pipes with 20” (508mm) to 56” (1420 mm) diameter
with one seam, up to 40 millimeters wall thickness and up to 18 meters length, in addition to existing Spiral Pipe Mill at Volzhsky Pipe Plant.

AUROHILL, as partner of Welspun, providing all possible support, participating in strategical negotiations, which will considerably strenghten positions of both WELSPUN and TMK in Russian market of pipes for oil and gas industry of Russia and CIS.   20 September 2005

AUROHILL signs a contract with Stroytransgaz

AUROHILL, as agent of WELSPUN, has signed contract with Stroytransgaz, Russian EPC contractor, for supply of Large Diameter pipes for Hadjret-Ennouss Project in Algeria.

Total 163 km of 42" pipes X-65 will be supplied by WELSPUN to this project.
