The company's infrastructure is spread across a combined area of over 10 acres amongst three state-of-art plants in Faridabad and Rudrapur. All the production units are connected using a SAP ERP system for integrated manufacturing and communications. Presently the company manufactures more than 600 thousand Starter Motors and 500 thousand Alternators per annum for domestic OEs, aftermarket and international market.

Single piece flow is adopted across all the manufacturing lines for starter motors & alternators. It has also adopted Frugal Engineering Practices and Low Cost Automation to offer the best combination quality and cost efficiency.

AUTO-LEK’s production units boasts of high-end infrastructure setup for manufacturing a large range of Direct On and Gear Reduction Starter Motors both off-centre and Planetary gear types, Permanent Magnet Starter Motors and compact internal fan Alternators/Vacuum Pump Alternators.

To ensure highest quality standards for Original Equipments, the company has dedicated lines for manufacturing products with computerized end of line test equipment to ensure highest standards for performance, reliability and environmental response is ensured in the validation centre/cell of R&D Centre.

There are dedicated lines for manufacturing products for overseas customers. All export products are dispatched with a 100% test report attached to it for verification of conformity to specifications.

The R&D Centre is supported by:

• State-of-the art R&D prototype center including the library of product samples for domestic competitors and world-class manufacturers and bench marking against domestic as well as international competitors.
• State-of-the-art validation and product evaluation center for evaluation of performance, reliability and environmental response.
• Centre for metallurgical and chemical analysis.
• Centre for metrological analysis.
• State-of-the-art Tool Room and machine building facility capable of designing and manufacturing SPMs for welding, varnishing, winding, slot insulation, hair pin forming and computerized testing machines.

AIL is the first company to indigenously design and develop a large range of Gear Reduction Starter Motors both Off-centre and Planetary Gear types. These Motors have hugely improved Power and Torque to weight ratio resulting in reduced material cost and size. The Company has also developed a capability to design and manufacture Permanent Magnet Motors. It is also the first company to indigenously design and develop Vacuum Pump Alternators & compact Internal fan Alternators
