About Us

Automotive Infotronics is a 50:50 joint venture between Ashok Leyland and Continental AG, Germany (incorporating within it Siemens VDO) to design, develop and adapt products and services for transportation / automotive sector.

Ashok Leyland is 2nd largest manufacturer of Commercial Vehicles Company in India (Turnover 2006-2007: 2 billion US$). Continental is 5th largest automotive company in the world (Turnover 2006-2007: 20 billion Euros). Automotive Infotronics develops instrument clusters, electronic control units, powertrain control systems and Cockpit electronics products for commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The related technology domains are hardware, mechanical design, embedded software, and non-embedded software. Automotive Infotronics has design & development center in the Chennai City and has easy access to latest technology infrastructure and global trends in automotive space.
