Citric Acid Monohydrate / Anhydrous

Citric Acid Monohydrate (molecular formula C6H8O7) is colorless or white crystalline powder. It is featured with easy solubility in water and ethanol, insolubility in benzene and Carbon Tetrachloride. It acts as sour agent, buffer agent, chelation agent and enhance agent. Citric Acid Monohydrate is widely used in the food industries for manufacturing consumables such as jelly, canned fruits, jam, beverage and others. It also finds application in medical industry in synthesizing ferroammonium citrate, syrup citrate and sodium citrate.

The chemical is stored under dry, cool and windy conditions to maintain its original chemical properties.
