Reactor Tank |
| The goal of treatment is often to separate particles or dissolved constituents from a wastewater stream by preparing materials for settling or flotation. Reactor systems or Reaction Tank Units (RTU) are used for chemical addition and mixing to accomplish treatment that may including oxidation, reduction, oil cracking, pH adjustment, metal precipitation, and other chemical processing.
The reactor tank is a circular cylindrical container made up of steel. A boiling-water reactor of 1000 MWe has a reactor tank with a diameter of about 6 - 7 m and a height of about 20 m. The wall thickness is about 16 cm and the tank has a stainless steel inner lining. |

Packed Scrubber |
Packed scrubber are used in packaging support, liquid distribution system and the defogger. The shell is made up of usually with PVC, polypropylene or FRP and most economical constructed as a cylinder. At the bottom is a grid that supports the packing. It demands large open area to allow passage of the air and gas in opposite directions, without creating more pressure drop.
The packing consists of plastic shapes, typically 2" to 4" in size. Packing comes in various designs such as : rings, which are short hollow cylinders; saddle shaped packing; donuts of small dia. rod wound in a spiral; and intersecting plates, usually with a spherical external profile. Good liquid distribution on the top of the packing is essential - if more liquid is added in one area of the packing, it runs down that area, while the gas, taking the path of least resistance travels up areas where there is less liquid, and contacting is poor.
The droplets entrained in the air stream must be removed, in order to stop them being discharged from the stack as acid rain. This is done by passage through a device which changes flow direction, and provides a surface for the removed droplets to grow, in order to prevent re-entrainment. The two main types of entrainment eliminator are: chevron, consisting of parallel S-shaped blades; and mesh, which is a bed of knitted polypropylene fibers. They are both equally efficient, but the chevron is preferred, because it lasts longer, has large openings, a lower pressure drop, and less tendency to block with dust, crystals or deteriorated fibers. The advantages of packed scrubbers are simplicity and cheapness (mainly due to traditional use of cheap materials and flimsy construction methods), plus the ability to accommodate variations in air flow.

Drying Chamber |
Most of the industrial drying chamber in market has nothing inside and results an obstraction of air flow that can result in powder deposit. In the tall-form drying chamber, the emphasis has been on designing a plant with a laminar air flow and a special air outlet system, where the diameter of the cone is larger than the diameter of the cylindrical part thus forming a ring duct termed a "bustle". This minimizes the cyclone fraction by the low velocity of the exhaust air. The tall-form drying chamber is especially suited for baby-food products or protein products dried from a low solids content in the feed. The development of Cleaning In Place bag filters has made it possible to design drying chambers with built-in bag filters. The drying chamber should always be equipped with inspection doors, light sources, over-pressure vents, and other safety equipment such as fire extinguishing equipment in the form of water or steam nozzles.
Drying chambers are usually insulated, either with removable air-filled sandwich panels, see Fig. 40, or with 80-100 mm mineral wool covered with a stainless steel plate or a galvanized plate covered with PVC. The advantage of the removable panels is that inspection for cracks in the chamber wall is a possibility, and wet insulation material, in which bacteria can develop or result in cold spots on the chamber wall whereupon deposits are formed, is avoided.

Rotary Atomizers |
| It is an atomization processor done by centrifugal energy. The upper part of the rotary atomizer consists of the gearbox, motor and its support. The lower part comprises the support for the spindle bearings, feed pipe bracket and the conical protective skirt. The spindle runs in special high speed, single row, radial ball bearings. The drive is designed according to the flexible spindle concept, so that irregularities in feed rate and other minor imbalances in the atomizer wheel can be compensated without spindle and bearing damage.
Atomization process is complex and to pulverize something into tiny pieces. The process includes conversation of bulk liquid into a spray or mist through a high speed atomizer. It doesnt reduces particles to atomic size. The rotary atomizer monitoring system include low oil flow alarm, high oil level alar, flooding alarm as protection against feed leakage on the supporting plate, spindle vibration alarm as protection against excessive vibration conditions and a tachometer to register variable spindle speed adjusted by control of frequency converter. |
