Cochin is referred to as the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea' or the Spice Capital of the World'.Having been strategically located in Cochin, which is the home of spices, AVT Natural has strategic advantage of proximity to the source of raw material and logistic advantage of import,export facilities owing to the sea, air and rail transport modes being within its reach. Cochin Port will soon get upgraded to a trans-shipment terminal. This enables Cochin port to berth mother vessels here itself instead of the current practice of moving to Colombo or Singapore by feeder vessels for trans-shipment. The freight charges and time delay in shipments are expected to come down substantially in days to come.
   

AVT Natural Products Ltd (AVT NPL) is a public limited company promoted by Mr.Ajit Thomas as a strategic diversification from the traditional plantation business of AV Thomas Group. POST HARVEST PROCESSING CENTERS

To de risk the vagaries of nature affecting the availability of marigold, the major raw material, we have backward integration programs of contract farming in different geographic locations. The post harvest processing centers are also located close to agricultural areas to reduce cost of transportation as well as to reduce the loss of the active ingredients.

They are spread across various locations in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra . These post harvest processing centers also known as dehydration centers follow all GMP and food safety norms. As a measure of quality up gradation we have shifted from Pit Silaging to Bag Silaging. Our imported bagger machine uses specialized bags for storing the harvested flowers. We have in place all the checks and measures which ensure eco-friendly, pollution free produce with improved yield.

On the 16th of November 2005, AVT Natural Products Limited became the first and thus far the only Indian Spice Oleoresin company to be "Food Safe certified by AIBI” and still continue to be EXCELLENT in 2008 also .

• Eye Clinic: Around 40,000 school children were screened and, those who required vision correction were identified and given the necessary treatment. This was carried out by the doctors from Shankara Netralaya in association with AVT Natural Products and Rotary Club, Sathyamangalam.
• Successful cleaning of weeds and waste materials from the Bhavani river banks and strengthening of the embankments to provide better irrigation facility to the farming community was carried out.
• Infrastructure of the approach roads to our facility was further rectified.
• Yearly financial assistance offered to the Panchayat for the Polio Eradication Programme.
• Free weekly medical checkup and assistance provided to the rural community by doctors of AVT Natural Products at Sathyamangalam.

AVT Natural believes in novelty and offers customers newer and specialized products.
