About Us

From a tiny-town, Mathabhanga of North Bengal a laborious young man, Sree Tulshi Das Sarkar builds up an indigenous laundry soap unit in the name of SARKAR SOAP FACTORY. Struggling since 1960 the indigenous Laundry Soap maker's dedication becomes number one selling product of the region.

Through continuous research and development, we initiate a new step forward by establishing MAYNAGURI SILICATE at Maynaguri of Jalpaiguri district in the year 1997. There we are producing Sodium Silicate (Na2Si3) not only for our own-consumption.We are also catering to the entire North Bengal, the North East & also exporting to other countries. We have emerged as the largest producer of Sodium Silicate in this area.
Our next great leap began with the formation of a new state-of-the-art detergent company, MATHABHANGA DETERGENTS & CHEMICALS (P) LTD. at Fulbari, Jalpaiguri. In the year 1998 and onwards we had achieved a marvelous growth with our new brands of detergent powder. To reach our dear customers, well-planned promotional activities, organized by our sales personals and distributors generate a respectful response within our customers and in the general market.

In 2002, by establishing another sister concern M/s. SILIGURI CHEMICALS (renamed M/s SILIGURI SOAPS & CHEMICALS (P) LTD.) broke another barrier of formulation of detergent powders and cakes, dish wash, scouring bar and floor & toilet cleaners etc. Our new production is LABSA, Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid, the basic ingredient of manufacturing detergents. It has also used as mercerizing or washing agent in textile industries. We became self-sufficient and at the same time became one of the important manufacturers of detergent industries.
From 2003, we come closure with the agricultural people of North Bengal when we start a new high-tech cold storage at Siktibari, Nishiganj of Cooch Behar.

2008 will be the year to remember because of launching of new bunch of sparkling products Ayna Delight (Rose, Beauty and Lime), Ayna GermX, Ayna Clean, Dish Wash, Ayna Drops, Anyana Liquid Whitener.
We are proud to declare that we are exporting our products to our neighbouring country Nepal since 2006. Though Nepal has its own agony and ecstasy, the peace loving Himalayan people has accepted our product very warmly.
