Two fully automated state-of-the-art block plants were set up at kelambakkam near Chennai and Harohalli near Bangalore. The entire range of concrete masonry products are manufactured at these plants. Each plant has a capacity of 13200 Engineered Concrete Blocks or 30,000 Paver Blocks per 8 hours shift which is the largest in the country. Our corporate clientele include Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited Ltd (HPCL), Indo Burma Petroleum Company Ltd (IBP), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Madras Fertilizers Ltd (MFL), National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), American International School, Infosys, Shoba Developers, Adarsh Developers, Mantri Housing, Purvankara, Prestige Developers to name a few.
The raw materials used in the manufacture of concrete blocks are batched in a computerized batching plant. These raw materials viz., graded aggregate. Natural sand, additives and Grade 53 Cement are fed into a 100 cft turbo mixer equipped with moisture sensors to ensure consistent mix of zero slump concrete. The Besser vibrapac – V3. 12 block machine converts this into high strength blocks through a combination of pressure and controlled vibration. These green blocks are transported on a rail mounted automated rack transporter system to the curing chamber which features steam mist curing to ensure optimal curing. The cured blocks are then transported to the cuber where the blocks are ‘Cubed’ or palletized and thereafter stored in the yard prior to despatch. Incidently, these are the only two plants of its kind in India (Chennai and Bangalore) with computerized batching and water mist curing. |
