L.R.F. (Ladle Refining Furnace)

This LRF has a capacity of 8 to 12 M.T. of steel. The slide gate system is filled in all vessels. Argon purging is performed throughout with the heat cycle getting very low. Sulphur percentage from 0.002 to 0.010% is possible through this route. We achieve a very low inclusion rating of all four A B C D type inclusions. Injectometers of two stands arc used during the heat cycle for infection of Al & CaSi code wire V.D. Process, after LRF to remove the gases as H„ N„ O, • Balance inclusions (if any) to float up.
