Location:
The city of Mathura, in the Uttar Pradesh, which is the nucleus of Brajbhoomi, is situated at a distance of 145 km south-east of the city of Delhi and around 58 km north-west of Agra. Covering a large area of around 3,800 sq. km., today, Brajbhoomi can also be divided into two distinquished units - the eastern part, which is in the trans-Yamuna tract along with places like Gokul, Baldeo, Mahavan, Mat and Bajna whereas the western side of the Yamuna is covering the Mathura region, which encompasses the following places:

About Lord Shri Krishna:
Shri Krishna, was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who was born in the Dwapara Yuga as the eighth son of the Vasudev, Yadava prince and his wife Devaki. In order to protect him from the murderous objectives of his maternal uncle Kansa, who was the ruler of Mathura. Then, the infant Krishna was just spirited away soon after the birth to Gokul, which is known as the village of the gopas (cowherds) in the Braj (their pastureland). It was there when he grew to his manhood, in a tender care of his foster parents known as Nand and Yashoda in the happy company of the village cowherds.
