About Us

Institute of Rural PediatricsBaramati , Reg. Society and Trust is running a school for Mentally Retarded and Hearing Impaired. We were in search of Vocational Education for Hearing Impaired. Dr. Anil Mokashi, Chairman and Dr. Madhuri Mokashi treasurer had private land attatched to the Institute premises.

With a proposal from Department of Food Technology, Institute of Chemical Technology Matunga, Mumbai. The project Baramati Food Processing and Dehydration Institute was conceived.

Rajiv Gandhi Science Technology Commission, Govt. of Maharashtra sponsored the project. Institute of Chemical Technology Matunga, Mumbai offered technical support and leadership. Hon. Sharad Pawar suggested we operate on the platform of a private limited company under section 25 of companies act. Accordingly the company was registered, SSI registered, FDA licenced, FPO licenced and VAT registered. Baramati food processing and dehydration institute had the responsibility of land, building, manpower and local management. Everything on the site is owned by Baramati Food Processing & Dehydration Institute Pvt. Ltd.
