Incepted in the year 1965,
Bawne Group is an ISO 9001:2000 certified organization and among the reputed names in
the industry, engaged in the manufacturing and exporting of a widespread gamut
of woven, cotton and synthetic fabrics. Our Owner, Mr. Atul Bawne, has years of experience in the textile industry and owing to his inclination towards creativity and immense interest in the fabrics, he has diversified into three different companies by the names of, Sara Fabrics, Atharva Fabrics and Atul Textiles, respectively. Forming our group, these companies have helped us in emerging as a strong contender in the textile industry. We commenced our business activities with plain looms in the year 1965. During the 90s, we diversified to automatic looms. Our manufacturing unit, located at Ichalkaranji, is situated around 425 km away from Mumbai and 600 km away from Bangalore, and is equipped with modern weaving machines such as the state-of-the-art Picanol Rapier loom. Having a capacity to weave six different color insertions in the weft, these looms are equipped with a 20-shaft electronic dobby, upper beam attachment having electronic let off. Moreover, we also have Cimmco automatic looms and we have developed specialization in the manufacturing of all varieties of dobby and leno fabrics extending up to 20 shaft. In addition, we are also equipped with desk looms that enable us to produce the actual fabric sample of development. Owing to the widespread textile manufacturing and other similar activities, especially power loom cloth manufacturing, Ichalkaranji is commonly known as “Manchester of Maharashtra” and is among the most famous industrial cities in India. At present, Ichalkaranji and its surrounding area have approximately 100000 power looms, 25000 automatic looms and 2500 shuttle-less weaving machines in decentralized sector. |
