About Us

BBL is a family dominated and family operated business which was formerly known by the name of AMBER. The foundation stone for the business was laid in 1976 by Shri. Balvinder Pal Singh & Shri. Avninder Mutchall and the first plant was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Shri. J Vengal Rao. The company has been actively involved in the Confectionary Machinery business since the last 32 years. The quality of the products was so well appreciated that the company had to expand after 2 years that is, 1978. With continuous growth the 2 brothers decided to start a new factory and constructed India¿s first 1200 mm plant which is powered by some of the best Biscuit Making Machinery.

BBL entered the business scenario by manufacturing its own confectionary items for 20 years and today it is manufacturing snack foods for India¿s largest FMCG company, ITC Sunfeast. BBL has also proved its mettle by manufacturing chocolate chip biscuits for Parle¿s Hide and Seek, which proved as a sure shot success in the unimaginable weather circumstances of India. With this, chocolate chip biscuits were manufactured for the first time ever in India. More history was created when BBL was the first company in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh to be certified by the HACCP certification for food safety system.

In the year 1986, the company widened its horizons by manufacturing ice cream cones in Delhi and a manufacturing unit was ordered to world leaders M/S Franz Haas, Austria which was equipped with the best Food Processing Machinery. Later with due course of time, Lakhbir Mutchall spearheaded the family business giving it a new direction and perspective with the addition of one more manufacturing plant in 1988.

Since the northern region responded well to the business, new factories were incorporated in Ludhiana and acquired 4 new Haas lines from Chennai as well as abroad. Today, we have established ourselves as one of the leading ice cream cone Suppliers. Out of our numerous clients, some of them which have a global presence are McDonalds and Nirulas.

In the early 1990¿s the company started backwards integration and started manufacturing machineries for home use as well apart from exporting them. In the next 5 years, BBL established itself as largest importer of second hand machineries with the machineries being imported from countries like Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Canada, Belgium and Germany.

With Mr. Lakhbir Mutchall¿s initiatives he imported India¿s largest wafer plant and the biggest wire cut cum deposited cookies line from Europe. Today, BBL is an undisputed leader in this field and continues to serve its clients and customers all across the globe.

Over the years, BBL has proved its mettle by manufacturing Wholesale Healthy Snack Foods including cookies, toasts and namkeens with the latest addition being extruded and pallet fried snacks. With full concentration towards the installation of new bakery machines we are all set to introduce multi coloured cookies with our exclusive machineries.

Our other business ventures also include real estate properties in the uptown city of Hyderabad, Banjara Hills. The company is already registered by the name of BBL Developers (P) Ltd.
