An ideal Surgical Hand wash or skin cleanser for surgical hands sterilization with high level of moisturizer emollient and pleasant fragrance.


Contents :

Chlorhexidine Gluconate Solution I.P. :     20 % v/v

With emollient, moisturizer and pleasant
Fragrance.

Gel formulation with natural biodegradable
surfactants.

Colour -  Carmoisene


Efficacy :

BECTASHIELD-4 is a broad spectrum microbicidal Hand wash. It has good immediate and persistent effect against both normal and contaminant organisms.

It is highly effective against Gm +ve, Gm –ve, cocci bacteria, Tuberculi, HIV, HBV etc.


Usage and Application :


-Bectashield-4 can be used preoperatively on hands up to forearms, prewet the hands, scrub vigorously for 2-3 minutes. Wipe with sterile towel after 5 mins. It results in 99.9 % reduction in resident bacterial flora.

-It can also be used for patient scrubbing.

-It is especially recommended for surgical hand wash where prolong and persistent microbicidal effect is required.

-It doesn’t harm to any skin flora, and doesn’t give any dryness to skin like other alcoholic rub in hand disinfectants.

-Doctors and any medical professionals can use post operatively, when hands become dry. It helps to retain the moisture level with skin softness. Use only sterile warm towel (No water) to wipe out the solution after 5 minutes of application.

-It would not give any stains on the skin.


Dosage : Apply 9 ml. on wet hands, and forearms, scrub for 2-3 mins for Surgical Hand Wash.


Toxicity  : There is no evidence  found of absorption of the compound through the intact skin. Potential of toxicity and skin reaction of CHG is extremely low.
