Beekay Steel produces a wide range of special and alloy steel conforming to international standards. The product grades is as follows.

Sponge Iron is a metallic product formed by the reduction of iron ore at temperature just below the fusion point of iron. This product has derived the name "Sponge Iron" due to its porous nature. It is also called as Direct Reduced Iron (DRI). Properties Sponge Iron is a substitute of steel scrap for steel making through the secondary route i.e. DR/EF route. This also replaces ferrous scrap as a coolant in LD converter. The value of DRI is measured by comparing its cost and properties with those of scrap. It's non pyrophoric. It's free from tramp elements viz Copper, Zinc, Tin, Chromium, Tungsten and Molybdenum etc that are usually present in scrap. It has low Sulphur content. It has the ability to use low grade fuels and fuels that are unacceptable for conventional iron making. It is more suited for some special metallurgical processes than conventional iron & steel products e.g. Precipitation of copper from leaching solution during copper extraction. Production of metal objects by powder compaction.

Bright bars manufactured in both Vizag and Chennai for ready supply to makers of machined Components, Pump Shafts, Valves, Fasteners, Machine Tools, Daily Equipments, Surgical & Medical Parts, Thread Bars, Studs, Bolts, Pins, Hinges and Handles. Peeled & Ground Bars Rounds- 10 to 100 MM Size tolerance as per h 9 & h11.

The Beekay mills in Jamshedpur, Vizag and Chennai produce a variety of standard sections for automotive, railway and engineering industries in 3-6 meters lengths with 10% shorts down to 1 meter or multiple lengths as specified. STANDARD SECTIONS: Round bars, Square Bars, Hexagons, Flat Bars, Round Corner Square (RCS). SPECIAL PROFILES: Rectangular bars for Aluminium Industries, Fish plates, Grooved flats, Taper flats, Octagons, Hoe bars, T Sections, Windows Sections. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Hot Rolled or Normalized, Saw Cut, Machine Straightened, Peeled & Ground or Drawn.

After gaining several years of experience contract manufacturing for Tata Steel, Beekay shall commence manufacturing of TMT bars under its own brand name. To be made by the Thermex process, these high quality TMT Bars find use in core infrastructure development like construction of multi storey buildings, bridges, dams, railways, power plants as reinforcement material. Beekay TMT bars will be rolled from billets as per IS 2830, which ensures uniform physical and mechanical properties. The range varies from 8mm to 32mm, conforming to BIS 1786 - Fe 415, Fe 500 and FE 550.

An integral part of construction activity, they give shape and strength to buildings, bridges, transmission line towers, industrial sheds and structures. Beekay produces an array of products to meet structural requirements at Vizag and Chennai. This includes medium & heavy angles, channels and beams for infrastructure building. Apart from standard dimensions, customized products can also be rolled for special applications, economically and quickly.
