Based in the Malabar Coast,a region of dense tropical indian rain forests and backwaters,wedged between the mountains to the east and the arabian sea to the west,it has access to high quality timber as well as craftsmen with an unbroken tradition of fine woodworking that has existed for thousands of years. We use fine timbers mahogany,teak and rosewood grown for the purpose in plantations. Individual logs are inspected,selected and sawn in a manner that brings out the true quality of timber. And the wood is carefully seasoned to ensure stability of the product. We have showroom and furniture store in cochin in the south of india as well as in NOIDA in the north around 12 kms from New Delhi. Our design cell consisting of architects and interior designers conceptualise the designs after careful analysis of the function and the emerging form. We develop detailed motifs and decorative patterns and select and procure high quality fittings. Each prototype is tested after manufacturing for functional use,ruggedness, comfort level,style and operation by independent inspection personnel. The factory located amidst a 30 acre plantation is equipped with modern wood working machinery and equipment. The traditional craftsmen have been trained to use modern handcrafting tools to improve productivity and repeatability and some of these tools have been developed in house by the technicians.
