Dry Type Transformer

Our dry type transformers are built in accordance to international standards. Its core is built of cold rolled oriented grain steel with low specific losses, insulated on both sides by a thin inorganic coating (Carlyte). Its high voltage windings are realized by disc or layers depending on the feeding voltage and transformer power. These are assembled with adequate axial channels between the layer of windings that grant an uniform cooling, insulation between high & low voltage and core is made by fiberglass cylinders. Winding are dried in an oven and impregnated under vacuum by using class F/H insulating varnishes / Resin. Low voltage windings are made of copper strip or foil that ensure an excellent resistance to electrodynamic stresses, much higher than the one obtained with traditional elix windings.
