The head office as well as works office is located at J-78, MIDC, Kupwad Block, Sangli. Mr. Patil in his fifties, passed his DME during the year 1984. Soon after passing he began searching for contracts to be executed for MSEB. Then he established his proprietary concern in the name and style of Bharat Metal Works. This organization has been in business for over the past 20 years.
Bharat Metal Works was engaged in the business of undertaking turnkey contracts for erection and commissioning of electrical installations for Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) as well as for Suzlon Infrastructure Limited (Suzlon). The concern was also the preferred vendor for Suzlon. Apart from Bharat Metal Works, the group also had two other entities viz. Bharat Sales & Services and Sumeet Enterprises. With the view of consolidating the business from 1st April 2007, the group discontinued the business of Bharat Sales & Services and Sumeet Enterprises from on 1st April 2007.
The business of the concern was growing, Mr. Patil realized the need to corporatize the business and incorporated Bharat Electrical Contractors and Manufacturers Private Limited on 17th October,2005. The execution of electrical contracts involves two parts, one is the supply of electrical material and another is the construction and erection. From October 2005, after the formation of the Limited Liability Company, supply of the electrical material was rendered by Bharat Electrical Contractors & Manufacturers Private Limited and execution was carried out by Bharat Metal Works the proprietary concern. Bharat Metal Works assigned its whole business to Bharat Electrical Contractors & Mfg. (P) Ltd., on 1st March 2007 & now all the operations are being carried out only by Bharat Electrical Contractors and Manufacturers Private Limited.
Bharat Electrical Contractors and Manufacturers Private Limited currently supplies various electrical fabrication items to Suzlon Infrastructure and other small vendors in the local market. The Company now manufactures and supplies various electrical fabrication items as well as executes contracts for Suzlon, MSEDCL, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (KPTCL) etc., after getting assigned business of the proprietorship concern |

The laying of foundations for WTG towers, the construction of the control rooms, transformers, evacuation facilities, electrical, approach roads, erection and commissioning of WTGs and all other Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. It is one of the resultant companies as a result of corporatization of MSEB. It handles the entire distribution of electricity in the state of Maharashtra. It has chalked out ambitious infrastructure plan for improving the distribution system. Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited is mainly vested with the functions of Transmission and Distribution of power in the entire State of Karnataka. Further, development of infrastructure in electricity generation and distribution is on priority agenda of all the State Govts. and Central Govt. and hence the company is in the right business having large growth prospects.
