As a result of the feedback received from the transformer industry, we have developed a special process to manufacture continuous strips with the width ranging from 40 mm to 150 mm and thickness from 3 mm to 12 mm. BCI offers rubber cork in sheet forms having standard size of 915 mm X 915 mm or 915 mm X 610 mm and thickness varying from 0.8 mm to 20 mm under the brand of CHETAK. Other sizes are available on request. Sheets can be supplied as per IS 4253 Part II specifications or international specifications as per customer requirement.

We produce vibrastop which is a versatile material, made out of granulated cork, suitably graded and combined with binding material and compressed into required shapes. These agglomerated sheets of cork are used directly for very heavy machinery foundations such as large size generators, huge power presses and machines, which involve high impact load or vibration. Vibrastop absorbs the vibrations and ensures that there is little transmission of vibrations to the ground. The sound absorbing properties of vibrastop may also be used in large auditorium, lecture halls, concert halls etc.
At bci the rubber cork frames and gaskets are not only of superior quality but also cost effective due to our technological initiatives. Under normal course, gaskets are manufactured by punching sheets, which leave substantial expensive waste. However, at bci we prepare frames using special adhesives whereby joints are heat resistant and stronger than the original material. The frames are then punched into gaskets resulting in substantial benefits to customers with large requirement in segments like auto industries. frames result in tremendous cost savings for manufacturing of gaskets and help in disposal of waste to a great extent. Multiple gasket frames are often preferred to further reduce costs.
The frictional and compressibility/recovery properties of cork are utilized tremendously in this application. The cork clutch facings are used in light industrial machines and two wheelers. BCI supplies cork sheets as well as readymade cork rings/components which are used as clutch facing.
We manufacture cork rods and discs that are available as per international length (915mm) and diameter (26. 7 mm) for crown corks. Cork rods can also be used to make agglomerated cork stoppers.

Cork flooring tiles are available in varied designs and colors. Apart from aesthetic value the tiles act as good acoustic and insulating material. The tiles are easy to install and maintain. We also offer memo boards of varied sizes color and thickness. The unique property of cork of softness coupled with compressibility and recovery ensures ease in pinning up memos, while its decorative pattern enhances the decor.
Cork expansion joint filler is preformed from clean, granulated cork particles, bonded together with an insoluble phenolic resin and molded under heat and pressure. The resultant material is strong, light in weight, flexible, acid-resistant and waterproof. Cork will not extrude when compressed up to 50 percent of its original thickness, and regains up to 95 percent as joint expansion takes place. expansion joints fillers principally accompany the movement of the materials. They are used to suppress the effects of thermal variations in concrete structures. Expansion joints filler neutralize the phenomenon of expansion and contraction, which are frequently encountered in concrete constructions. The joint fillers manufactured by us are thus an excellent protection against cracks.

We have sophisticated machine to manufacture granulated cork, which ensures that the mesh size and density is maintained. Granulated cork finds its application in not only manufacture of agglomerated cork and rubber cork but it may also be used as insulation material in construction industry. Granulated cork is used in layers of concrete wall thus providing thermal insulation for the building. It also finds use in building materials like bricks. Besides granulated cork we offer cork powder of fine mesh used in mould release sprays and for other specialized applications.
