When the fruit is dried, the main ingredient, water, is mostly eliminated, and the remaining constituents are present in considerably larger proportions. The pulpy portion of fruit, dried and freed from the nuts contains: gallic acid 1.32%, tannin, sugar 36.10%; gum 13.75%; albumin 13.08%; crude cellulose 17.08%; mineral matter 4.12% and moisture 3.83%. Amla fruit ash contains chromium, 2.5; zinc, 4; and copper, 3 ppm. Presence of chromium is of therapeutic value in diabetes.

Amla powder is very easy to consume. From children to older people, Amla powder is prefered to fresh amla fruits as its Bio-availability is higher than Amla fruits. Besides, Amla powder is easy to store and transport. Like Amla extracts, Amla powder can also be easily used in various different forms such as capsules and tablets. Process : Amla powder is obtained from dry amla fruits. These amla fruits are first washed thoroughly to remove any impurities. After washing, the amla fruits are pulped. Pulping is followed by sun drying to reduce its moisture content. The product obtained is then grinded and seived. After this, the dry powder obtained is packed up for storage and transportation.

History: Amla Oil is one of the world's oldest natural hair conditioners. As an Indian herb, amla oil has been used in India since a very long time. As Indian Ayurveda says, it is used as hair oil basically for its cooling effect. Making Process: "Amla oil" is prepared from dried Amla berries. The fruits, cut into pieces is dried preferably in the shade. These pieces are boiled which have been soaked in coconut oil for several days in order to extract the oil soluble vitamins from the fruit. The darkish filtered and purified oil is commonly called "Amla oil".

The bio-availability is the highest in this form of extraction of Amla. It's action is more efficient at smaller dose than any other forms of Amla. Its results are instant and very effective. Amla extracts are best for the preparation and manufacturing of many theraputic capsules, tablets as well cosmetic sampoos, oils etc. Process of Extraction: Amla extracts are obtained from amla fruits. These amla fruits are first washed thoroughly to remove any impurities. After washing, the amla fruits are pulped through 1/8" seive. It is followed by pulping the extract though 1/16" seive again for obtaining fine particles. The product is then pasteurized at 80-85*C. To obtain still finer particles, the product is put in a Turbo Extractor through 1mm seive. After this, the product is immedietly taken and transferred to an intermediate tank after which it is sterilised for storage.
